Unscheduled Shift. 43.1 Regular full-time and part-time (.50 FTE or greater) employees who are requested/required to work at least six (6) hours of an unscheduled shift either immediately before or immediately following their regular shift, shall be compensated for the hours worked at the double time rate. Employees may be assigned the next calendar day off of scheduled work at the discretion of the supervisor. Compensation paid at the double time rate for working the unscheduled shift shall not be used to determine the employee's hourly rate for purposes of calculating overtime pay for that work week. This provision will not be applicable when the employee's schedule is changed with twenty-four (24) or more hours’ notice.
Unscheduled Shift. An unscheduled shift shall be any tour of duty that deviates from the published monthly work schedule which is ordered with less than one hundred-twenty (120) hours notice, provided that early/late assignments starting one hour or less before or after a regular shift, court appearances, extended duty overtime at the conclusion of the employee's shift, or training shall not be considered an unscheduled shift.
Unscheduled Shift. A shift, other than a regular scheduled shift, when an Association member is asked by a Supervisor to report to work.

Compensation paid at one and a half times the employee's regular rate for working the unscheduled shift shall not be used to determine the employee's hourly rate for purposes of calculating overtime pay for the work week and may be earned in a week where sick and/or vacation time was used by the employee. This provision will not be applicable when the employee's schedule is changed with twenty-four (24) or more hours’ notice.
