  • Union Business Leave 1. The five members of the Union Negotiating Committee shall be granted leave from duty with full pay for all meetings between the Board, or its representatives, and the Union for the purpose of negotiating the terms of a contract, when such meetings take place at a time when such members are scheduled to be at work.

  • Business Leave Each teacher shall be allowed five (5) days per year non-accumulative, deducted from sick leave allowance, for employee absence due to emergency, business, professional, household, or personal matters that cannot be attended to outside of working hours. Prior approval must be given by the administration with the exception of emergencies.   • Local Union Business Leave The Hospital agrees to grant leaves of absence without pay to local bargaining unit members for the purpose of attending Union seminars and/or attending to Union business. The cumulative total leave of absence will be determined locally, but shall not exceed forty (40) days per year per hospital. The amount of notice required and the number of employees who may be absent at any one time and from any one area shall be determined locally and will be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix.

  • Unpaid Leave - Union Business (a) Short-term leave of absence without pay to a maximum of fourteen (14) days at one time shall be granted to employees designated by the Union to transact Union business including conventions and conferences unless this would unduly interrupt the operation of the department provided, however, that these designated employees shall be paid by the Employer for time lost in attending meetings during working hours whenever their attendance is requested by the Employer.   • LEAVE OF ABSENCE - UNION BUSINESS 11.08.01 Employees who have been elected or appointed to carry out business authorized by the Union on a full-time basis shall be granted a Leave of Absence for this purpose. The Union will advise the Company of the name(s) of such employee(s), the term of such leave, and the specific purpose. The Union shall repay the Company for the Company's costs incurred in Employee Benefit Plans and the employee(s) shall continue to pay their contributions directly to the Company. The Company shall provide such employees with free and reduced-rate transportation in accordance with Company regulations.   • Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises This section is applicable if Contractor received a disabled veteran business enterprise (“DVBE”) incentive in connection with this Agreement. Contractor’s failure to meet the DVBE commitment set forth in its bid or proposal constitutes a breach of the Agreement. If Contractor used DVBE subcontractor(s) in connection with this Agreement: (i) Contractor must use the DVBE subcontractors identified in its bid or proposal, unless the Judicial Council approves in writing replacement by another DVBE subcontractor in accordance with the terms of this Agreement; and (ii) Contractor must within sixty (60) days of receiving final payment under this Agreement certify in a report to the Judicial Council: (1) the total amount of money Contractor received under the Agreement; (2) the name and address of each DVBE subcontractor to which Contractor subcontracted work in connection with the Agreement; (3) the amount each DVBE subcontractor received from Contractor in connection with the Agreement; and (4) that all payments under the Agreement have been made to the applicable DVBE subcontractors. A person or entity that knowingly provides false information shall be subject to a civil penalty for each violation.
