Use of Skills. You will be required to carry out duties that are within the limits of your skills, competence, training and/or experience. We will pay you the salary system rate of pay that recognises the skills you are required to apply on the job.

Use of Skills. 12.1 Council may direct an employee to carry out such duties that are within the limits of the employee’s skill, competence and training. 12.2 An employee shall be paid the salary system rate of pay that recognises the skills the employee is required to apply on the job. 12.3 The skills paid for shall not be limited to those prescribed by the job description and may, where appropriate, include skills possessed by the individual which are required by Council to be used as an adjunct to the employee’s normal duties.
Use of Skills i. The parties are committed to improving skill levels and removing impediments to multi skilling and broadening the range of tasks that the employee is required to perform. ii. The council may direct the employee to carry out such duties that are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. iii. An employee shall be paid the salary system rate of pay that recognises the skills the employee is required to apply on the job. a) The skills paid for shall not be limited to those prescribed by the job description and may, where appropriate, include skills possessed by the individual which are required by council to be used as an adjunct to the employee's normal duties. b) Subject to subclause (xi) of Clause 18, Allowances, Additional Payments and Expenses, employees who are required by council to use such additional skill(s) in the performance of their duties shall have the use of these skill(s) considered in the evaluation of the position. v. Council will whenever possible use existing staff rather than externally appointed persons, to fill temporary vacated positions until such times as they are permanently filled. This will enable council to expand the skills of permanent employees and provide on the job training for existing staff and demonstrate council’s commitment to the training and development of existing staff resources.
Use of Skills. 8.1 The use of skill provisions of the Local Government (State) Award 2007 and its successors are wholly replaced and substituted by the provisions of the Agreement. 8.2 Council may direct an employee to carry out such duties as are within the limits of the employees skill, competence and/or experience.
Use of Skills. 14.1 Where the employer provides study assistance or relevant industry training the employee receiving such training or assistance may be required to perform duties outside their substantive position utilising the skills or qualifications attained. 14.2 An employee who performs duties outside their substantive position will be paid at the appropriate rate of pay for those duties or rate of their substantive position, which ever is higher. 14.3 This clause, and the commitment to the use of skills, will not be used to permanently transfer an employee from their substantive position.

Employees who are required by the employer to use such additional skill(s) in the performance of their duties shall have the use of these skill(s) considered in the evaluation of the position. 5.2.2 The parties are committed to improving skill levels and removing impediments to multi-skilling and broadening the range of tasks that the employee may be required to perform. 5.2.3 The employer may direct the employee to carry out such duties that are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. 5.2.4 An employee required to relieve in a position, which is at a higher level, shall be paid for that relief. The rate to be paid shall be determined by considering the skills / experience applied by the employee relieving in the position but shall be at least the minimum rate for that position. 5.2.5 Payment for use of skills relieving in a higher paid position shall be made for the time actually spent relieving in the higher position. 5.2.6 Employees shall have access to annual assessments for progression under the Salary Administration System and Award.
