INDUSTRY TRAINING. The parties agree that continuing, improved, co-ordinated training in the Commercial Refrigeration industry is required to ensure the viability of the industry. Accordingly the parties commit to provide co-managed training for employees covered by this agreement and undertake to ensure that such training can be provided on an on-going basis. The training provided shall be based on the agreed national competency standards approved by the Australian National Training Authority for plumbing and mechanical services and shall be provided by accredited training authorities. The parties to this agreement recognise that the apprentice system of structured vocational training that operates within the commercial refrigeration industry has been integral to the efficiency and productivity of the industry. The parties are committed to maintaining the integrity of and improving upon the existing system of structured vocational training.
INDUSTRY TRAINING. 12.1 The parties agree that continuing, improved, co-ordinated training in the Commercial Refrigeration industry is required to ensure the viability of the industry.
12.2 Accordingly the parties commit to provide training for employees covered by this agreement and undertake to ensure that such training can be provided on an on-going basis. The training provided shall be based on the agreed national competency standards approved by the Australian National Training Authority for the refrigeration sector.
12.3 The parties to this agreement recognise that the apprentice system of structured vocational training that operates within the refrigeration industry has been integral to the efficiency and productivity of the industry. The parties are committed to maintaining the integrity of and improving upon the existing system of structured vocational training.
INDUSTRY TRAINING. 29.1 Improved coordinated training for employees covered by this agreement will be provided to enhance the skills, occupational health and safety comprehension, and other areas of working knowledge of the employees of the enterprise.
29.2 Training provided will be consistent with the enterprise’s business requirements, relevant to the work of the employees and be consistent with the skills development of each employee and with applicable national competency standards, where they exist.
29.3 Training as provided for by this clause may be taken either on or off the job.
29.4 When training is taken off the job, where practicable and subject to the work requirements of the enterprise, such training shall be undertaken during normal working hours.
29.5 If an approved training activity is undertaken during ordinary working hours, the employee/s concerned will not suffer any loss of wages or entitlements.
29.6 To contribute to the funding and training and development of its employees, the enterprise will pay the following schedule of payments into the Plumbing Industry Joint Training Fund that will provide plumbing and plumbing related courses. Therefore subject to Clause 29.7: NOTE: The above amounts are not payable for Apprentices.
29.7 Subject to the operational needs of the enterprise, employees covered by this agreement will be eligible to attend training programs that are funded by and paid for by the weekly amounts in clause 29.6.
29.8 The employer shall be liable for any difference between the total cost of that approved course and the amount contributed by the registered training provider fund.

34.6 To contribute to the funding and training and development of its employees, the enterprise will pay the following schedule of payments into the registered training provider that will provide plumbing and plumbing related courses, such courses as those approved by the Construction Property Services Industry Skills Council and like organizations. 1 March 2009 $6.50 $5.04 1 March 2010 $7.50 $5.04 1 March 2011 $10.00 $5.04
34.7 Subject to the operational needs of the enterprise, employees covered by this agreement will be eligible to attend training programs that are funded by and paid for by the weekly amounts in clause 34.6.

INDUSTRY TRAINING. Improved, coordinated training for plumbing industry employees, as highlighted by recent assessments of World Best Practice, is needed. Accordingly, the parties commit to continue co- managed industry training for employees covered by this Agreement and undertake to ensure that such training can be provided on an ongoing basis. The parties will consult on the development of training programs which are consistent with the following: • Training provided will be consistent with the enterprise’s business requirements, relevant to the work of the employees, consistent with the skills development of each employee and with applicable national competency standards. • Training may be taken either on or off the job with all reasonable steps being taken to conduct training in normal working hours. • Where an employee does not have a Red Card, the employee will be booked into a training program in accordance with the Foundations for Safety Induction Training Programs. • If an approved training activity is undertaken during ordinary working hours, the employee/s concerned will not suffer any loss of entitlements. • Training costs of courses approved by the enterprise will be met by the enterprise. • Leave of absence granted pursuant to this clause will count as service for all purposes of the award and this agreement.

Such training, at the Enterprise’s discretion, will be paid for by the Enterprise. Payment of wages will be paid for any training the Employee is required to attend by the Enterprise during work hours. If the training occurs outside normal working hours, no payment will be made for time spent in attendance.

The training provided shall be based on the agreed national competency standards where they exist, approved by the Australian National Training Authority for plumbing and mechanical services and shall be provided by accredited training authorities. Training shall be monitored and assessed by the Working Committee.
INDUSTRY TRAINING. SECTION 1: In recognition of the importance of continuing training and education to the Company’s and Employees’ growth, the Company will contribute towards a full-time Employee’s tuition, fees, and books for job-related courses or seminars, provided that the following provisions are met:
a) Before enrolling in the course, the Employee completes and submits to the General Manager a Tuition Reimbursement Approval Form;
b) The General Manager pre-approves the tuition reimbursement request; and
c) The Employee satisfactorily completes the courses with a passing grade (if applicable).
SECTION 2: The Company has sole discretion to approve or deny a request for tuition reimbursement.
