Study Assistance. An employee who is approved by Australia Post as a student to undertake a course of study or a short course of instruction may be granted reimbursement in full or in part of fees incurred for the course.
Study Assistance. (a) To ensure the maintenance of a trained workforce the Employer may provide an employee with paid study leave and/or financial assistance for study purposes in accordance with the provisions of this clause.
(b) Employees are not eligible for study assistance if they have previously received study assistance for an approved course from their employer. Further study assistance towards additional qualifications may, however, be granted in special cases, at the discretion of the employer.
Study Assistance. (a) Financial assistance and leave to attend classes and examinations may be granted to eligible staff enrolled in an approved course at USC. Courses not available at USC may also be supported on the approval of the relevant Cost Centre Manager. Staff (excluding casuals) holding an appointment of twelve months or more are eligible to apply for study assistance.
(b) There are three categories of study assistance that determine the level of financial assistance and leave available to staff to undertake study.
(c) Category A applies where a staff member is required to enroll in a particular program as a condition of their employment. This condition will be explicitly stated in the staff member’s written offer of appointment or other formal correspondence.
(d) Category B applies where the program of study will directly contribute to the staff member’s performance of duties and is consistent with the qualifications and training level reflected in the classification standards of their substantive position or anticipated future duties at the University.
(e) Category C applies where the program of study will generally contribute to the staff member’s performance in their substantive position or contribute, by being relevant to other positions in the University, to the continuing development of the individual staff member.
Study Assistance. (i) NPWS will support employees gaining additional skills through formal study.
(ii) Employees are entitled to apply for study time and study leave in accordance with the provisions of the Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Reviewed Award 2009.
(iii) The following costs associated with courses will be reimbursed by NPWS in accordance with the following guidelines:
(a) Higher Education Contribution Scheme Fee; or
(b) where HECS does not apply, compulsory fees (i.e. fees paid upon enrolment - union, students' council fees, TAFE administration charges, registration fees etc.).
(iv) The proportion of fees to be refunded will be as follows:
(a) 100% refunded where the course/subject is directly relevant to NPWS‘s operations or needs and is approved as such by the Secretary; or
(b) 50% refunded where the course/subject is relevant to Public Service NPWS needs generally, but not directly to NPWS’s needs.
(v) Refunds will be paid for a maximum of seven (7) annual occasions.
(vi) To be eligible to receive a refund, an employee must:
(a) have been employed in NPWS prior to the final examination in the academic period under consideration and also be in employment on the date reimbursement is requested;
(b) produce evidence of having successfully completed a full stage of an approved course (or the subjects enrolled in at the start of a semester/year); and
(c) produce receipts substantiating payments made for compulsory fees or HECS fee incurred.
Study Assistance. The Commissioner may provide assistance of up to 5 hours study leave per week (10 hours for employees with a disability or who are First Nations employees) during semester, 3 hours travel time per week during semester and a maximum reimbursement of fees of $6,000 per annum (where study is across more than one semester) for employees undertaking a course of study that is considered to be of benefit to the Commission and has been agreed with the manager in the performance agreement. The reimbursement amount in clause 2.17 will be indexed on 13 March 2025 and 12 March 2026, having regard to the annual percentage change in the Consumer Price Index in the preceding December quarter. The Commissioner may approve reimbursement for the cost of annual membership fees of associations up to $850 a year where membership of the association is essential to enable the employee to undertake their duties. The Commissioner may approve reimbursement of up to $48.00 a year per employee towards annual membership of other professional associations relevant to the work of the Commission. The reimbursement amounts in clauses 2.19 and 2.20 will be indexed on 13 March 2025 and 12 March 2026, having regard to the annual percentage change in the Consumer Price Index in the preceding December quarter.
Study Assistance. 18.3.1 It is agreed that Xxxxx has a role in encouraging and supporting Employees to undertake study programs that are relevant to their current and/or likely future career responsibilities.
18.3.2 Study Assistance (study leave hours and/or reimbursement of fees) is managed in accordance with Xxxxx’s Study Leave Policy, as amended from time to time.
Study Assistance. The Secretary may approve access, for ongoing employees, to financial assistance and/or study leave, to support the successful completion of tertiary studies that are relevant to the operational needs of DVA. Further information is available in the Study Assistance Policy. Specific proposals for studies assistance must be reflected in the employee’s performance agreement.
Study Assistance. 6.10.1. Employees may apply for study assistance. Consideration will be given to the following factors in assessing study assistance:
a) The course of study will have a direct relationship to the Employee's current duties or fall within the scope of duties that may be expected as a result of the need to perform alternative duties.

Study Assistance. 33.1 IBA encourages employees to undertake continuing education that will enhance their personal skills and contribute to overall performance.
33.2 The Chief Executive Officer may agree to provide an employee with studies assistance for external study initiated by the employee where the Chief Executive Officer considers that the study will provide benefits to IBA. Study assistance may include all or some of the following:
(a) financial assistance; and/or
(b) paid leave; and/or
(c) a return of service obligation.
33.3 Maximum amounts and the nature of any studies assistance provided to the employee will be as determined by the Chief Executive Officer.
