Vacation Balance Transfer. An ASF Member who accepts a vacation- eligible position in this bargaining unit at another Minnesota State institution, without a break in service, shall have all of the individual’s accumulated and unused vacation leave balance transferred and such leave shall not be liquidated by cash payment in whole or in part. This transferred vacation will remain subject to Article 18, Section B, Subdivision 2. An individual who moves without a break in service from any other position in any branch of Minnesota State Government to a vacation-eligible position in this bargaining unit shall have his/her accumulated- but-unused vacation leave transferred, provided that the total amount of accumulated vacation leave transferred shall not exceed two hundred seventy-five (275) hours.

Such transfer requests must be agreed to by the receiving university administration and shall not be subject to the grievance procedure of Article 25. Vacation balances that are not approved for transfer shall be liquated in cash. The sum of the transferred and/or liquidated vacation shall not exceed two hundred and seventy-two (272) hours.

Related to Vacation Balance Transfer

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Vacation Accumulation (a) Vacations are not cumulative from year to year.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.
