Vacation Balances. OT, PT, and XXXX employees, who have an accrued and unused vacation time balance on December 31, 2021, may choose to not cash out their accrued and unused vacation time earned through December 31, 2021. For vacation time accrued after December 31, 2021, employees shall be required to accept compensation for their accrued and unused vacation in lieu of paid vacation leave as of May 31st of each year.
Vacation Balances. 1. All twelve-month secretaries and custodians shall be entitled to the following vacation time: Length of Completed Service on July 1: Vacation Days: 0 through 4 years 10 working days 5 years of service 11 working days 6 years of service 12 working days 7 years of service 14 working days 8 years of service 15 working days 9 years of service 16 working days 10 years of service 17 working days 11 years of service 18 working days 12 years of service 20 working days 15 years of service 21 working days 2. Vacation days shall be posted on July 1, earned and used during the course of that year. Vacation day allotments will be determined by an employee’s time of service, as outlined in Paragraph 1 above. An employee hired on July 1st, or one who has completed a partial year of employment, shall receive 10 vacation days for use in the first full year. An employee hired with more than 6 months or more remaining in the year shall be granted 5 vacation days for use during that year. An employee hired with less than more than 4 months but less than 6 months remaining in the year, shall be granted 3 vacation days for use during that year. Employees hired with less than 4 months remaining in a school year will not be granted vacation time during that school year. Support staff can carry five vacation days over into the following year. The maximum vacation time an employee can have on the books is the current entitlement and 5 days. 3. Employees who demonstrate that they had worked under a procedure where vacation days were not available until the July 1 of the year after the year in which they were earned and therefore have more than the allotted number of days on July 1 will have those extra vacation days calculated as of July 1, 2020. These days will be termed “calculated days” and shall have a fixed value at their per diem rate based upon the employee’s 2019-2020 annual salary. 4. Calculated days must be used within 5 years of July 1, 2020, or prior to July 1, 2025. Employees must use at least 20% of their calculated days each year. An employee who resigns or who leaves the District for any reason within the 5 years will be eligible for payment on the calculated days that remain after this 20% reduction has been made each year from July 1, 2020 to the date employment in the District ends.
Vacation Balances i. SMMUSD employees transferring to MUSD will keep up to 24 vacation days or the maximum number of days allowed in the SMMUSD employee contract, or whichever is less. 1. SMMUSD shall pay out all vacation liability above that amount at the Separation Date on or reasonable after the Separation Date in alignment with normal payroll processing.

  • Vacation Bank Vacation entitlement is determined by Article 13. For the purposes of Article 13, hours worked or credited as paid leave will be based on an accelerated rate of 1.25 hours credit for each hour worked. Mechanism for the vacation bank is determined by current local practices. Drawing from the vacation bank will occur at an accelerated rate of 1.25 paid hours for every hour taken as vacation (i.e. 11.25 hours worked equals 14.05 hours paid; 7.5 hours worked equals 9.375 hours paid). Vacation must be taken as a full weekend off (i.e. Saturday and Sunday). The maximum number of weekends off cannot exceed the week entitlement level determined by Article 13. Single vacation days may be taken on weekdays, which need not be in conjunction with the Saturday and Sunday. Vacation – Interruption does not apply.

  • Vacation Accrual Regular employees shall accrue hours of vacation with pay for each hour of compensation to a maximum of eighty (80) hours per biweekly work period according to the following schedule, commencing with the employee's hire date of his latest period of County employment.

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.

  • Vacation Credits All employees shall participate in the County’s Terminal Pay Plan (Plan). However, only the terminal paychecks (including unused vacation) of those employees who have reached the age of fifty-five (55) shall be placed into the Plan. These terminal paychecks shall be placed into the Plan on a pre-tax basis in accordance with the Plan, all applicable laws and all rules and regulations applicable to the Plan.

  • Vacation Payout Where an employee requests in writing to have a specific number of vacation days paid out, and the Employer agrees to the request, the Employer will issue pay in lieu of vacation. The appointing authority shall determine when vacations will be taken.
