Vacation, Statutory Holiday Block, and Sick Leave. A vacation or period of banked statutory holidays shall not be rescheduled or extended because of a disability or illness which begins after the last scheduled working day immediately prior to the commencement of a vacation or a period of banked statutory holidays. If an employee is absent on sick leave immediately preceding the commencement of a period of vacation or period of banked statutory holidays, then the vacation or period of banked statutory holidays will be rescheduled on request if work arrangements permit. If it is not practical to reschedule a vacation or a period of banked statutory holidays, then the employees shall receive pay in lieu of the vacation or period of banked statutory holidays in addition to any sickness protection benefits which may apply in their case. In order to qualify for sickness protection benefits in addition to vacation pay or pay for a period of banked statutory holidays, employees must present a medical certificate on the prescribed form available from the Employer Human Resources Department.

  • Vacation and Sick Leave At such reasonable times as the Board of Directors shall in its discretion permit, the Employee shall be entitled, without loss of pay, to absent himself voluntarily from the performance of his employment under this Agreement, with all such voluntary absences to count as vacation time; provided that:

  • Cumulative Sick Leave Plan Each employee shall accumulate sick leave with pay entitlement at the rate of one-half work day for each full bi-weekly pay period on paid status up to a maximum accumulation of 155 days of unused sick leave with pay entitlement.

  • Paid Sick Leave Employees shall earn and be granted paid sick leave according to the following provisions:

  • Annual Sick Leave All full-time employees (i.e. hours per week) shall be entitled to twenty (20) days of sick leave per year. An employee joining the Board staff during the year shall be given current sick leave credits on the basis of days for each months' employment. The sick leave entitlement for part-time employees shall be according to time worked.

  • Cumulative Sick Leave 16.1 Employees covered by this collective agreement will carry forward their accumulated sick leave days from the predecessor school boards to a maximum of 280 days. Effective September 1, 1999 employees (other than temporary employees) shall be credited with two (2) days of sick leave for each month of active full time service to a yearly maximum of 20 days for ten month employees. Effective September 1, 2003 100% of the unused days each year are accumulated, to a possible sick leave total of three hundred (300) days. Sick leave days will be pro-rated for part-time employment.

  • ANNUAL LEAVE (VACATION) A.   • Annual Paid Sick Leave Fifteen (15) days sick leave per year shall be earned by an employee at the rate of 1.25 days for every month that an employee is employed.

  • Accumulated Sick Leave ‌ The Employer shall inform all employees at least once each year of the number of sick days accumulated and shall make the information available to an employee on request.

  • Annual Leave Loading (a) In addition to their ordinary pay, an employee, other than a shiftworker, will be paid an annual leave loading of 17.5% of their ordinary pay on a maximum of 152 hours/four weeks annual leave per annum.

  • Pay for Unused Sick Leave Unused sick leave not to exceed 70 days will be paid at the rate of $50 per day when the teacher retires or leaves U.S.D. 506 employment, provided the teacher has a minimum of 10 years of service in U.S.D. 506. Article VI: Activity Ticket Each teacher of U.S.D. 506 shall be issued an activity ticket, which shall be honored at all regular school functions held within the district. Said ticket shall not be honored at basketball tournaments and special events. Said ticket shall be honored for employee, spouse, and children who have not yet graduated from high school. The Board of Education will have an expectation that those teachers in attendance at school functions will assume a reasonable amount of general supervision as needed.
