Veterans' Conventions. An employee may be granted a leave of absence with pay and without loss of vacation leave while attending a state or national convention of a veterans' organization chartered by the Congress of the United States if she/he is a delegate or an alternate. The above leave of absence may be granted at the discretion of the School Committee.

Veterans' Conventions. Any employee who is a delegate or alternate delegate to a National or State convention of a recognized veterans’ organization may request a leave of absence for the purpose of attending said convention, providing, however, that any employee requesting a leave of absence with pay must meet the following conditions: 1. The employee must be a delegate or alternate delegate to the convention as established in the bylaws of the organization. 2. They must register with the credentials committee at the convention headquarters: 3. Their name must appear on the official delegate alternate rolls that are filed at the State headquarters of their organization at the close of the convention. 4. They must have attended no other convention, with a leave of absence with pay, during the fiscal year. 5. The employee must produce, upon returning from the convention, a registration card signed by a proper official of the convention, indicating attendance.

  • Union Conventions Subject to the approval of the supervisor(s) concerned, and upon written request submitted at least twenty (20) working days in advance, leave of absence without pay shall be granted to not more than two (2) employees at any one time, who may be elected or selected by the Union to attend any authorized labour convention. Such leave of absence is to be confined to the actual duration of the convention and the necessary travelling time. Such leave shall not exceed ten (10) working days per year for each employee to whom such leave is granted.

Otherwise it is replaced by “ryde”.

  • Conventions For purposes of this Article XIII, Party A means the Carrier from which a telephone number is Ported, and Party B means the carrier to which a telephone number is ported.

  • Professional Leave Professional leave without pay will be granted to full-time and regular part-time Nurses who are elected to the College of Nurses to attend regularly scheduled meetings of the College of Nurses. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Nurses who are elected to the RNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings. Professional leave without pay will be granted to Registered Practical Nurses who are elected to the RPNAO to attend regularly scheduled meetings.

  • Whistleblower Protections The Party shall not discriminate or retaliate against one of its employees or agents for disclosing information concerning a violation of law, fraud, waste, abuse of authority or acts threatening health or safety, including but not limited to allegations concerning the False Claims Act. Further, the Party shall not require such employees or agents to forego monetary awards as a result of such disclosures, nor should they be required to report misconduct to the Party or its agents prior to reporting to any governmental entity and/or the public.
