Water Distribution Systems. The following remodel components have been identified for the water distribution systems:
Water Distribution Systems. The California-American Water Company (Cal-Am) supplies water to the POM. POM is serviced by individually metered connections. The water distribution system is essentially a closed loop. Four pressure zones control water pressure on the POM because of the considerable differences in ground surface elevation between the eastern and western portions of POM. Treated water is pumped from the Cal-Am water mains to two water storage tanks for distribution. Concrete piping has been installed to service buildings constructed more recently in the eastern portion of POM, and galvanized iron piping serves the older portions of POM. Since 2003, Cal-Am has been incrementally modifying and upgrading the POM water system, including the replacement of existing pipe mains with plastic water mains. Marina Coast Water District (MCWD) supplies water to OMC. OMC is serviced by individually metered connections. Satellite Communication Facility, Camp Xxxxxxx (SATCOM) water is drawn from on-site, Army owned and operated xxxxx for the entire water infrastructure, from well to point-of-use, at each SATCOM facility. In addition, the PMSA shall perform all testing mandates of the County of San Xxxx Obispo, SATCOM’s water regulatory agency, and fully operate and maintain all parts of the water system, including 5-year tank inspections, which will be issued through an IJO. The water system operator and any personnel conducting maintenance or inspection duties on the SATCOM water system shall be certified/licensed per local, State, and Federal regulations; and will provide a copy of the license/certificate to the IGSTR prior to conducting any required work or operation. The designated drinking water system operator must ensure that the system meets the local, State, and regulatory requirements for a non-transient non-community water system per the San Xxxx Obispo County Public Health Department. The PMSA shall also ensure that any and all documentation required to be completed on the water system per the applicable regulations is done in accordance with the drinking water permit. All documentation, reports, and sample results shall be submitted immediately to the IGSATR. Any non-compliance that occurs shall be immediately addressed with the IGSATR, who will then coordinate with the Certified Operator and DPWE.
Water Distribution Systems. (A) Within the design capacity and capability of the City’s existing facilities, operate, maintain, and repair the water transmission, distribution piping, treated water storage, meters and other appurtenances including, but not limited to, the following: • timely repair of any water main breaks, water main leaks, service line breaks, and service line leaks up to the point of customer connection; • Provide water utility locates in a timely manner when locate tickets are received from the City’s existing Sunshine One call delivery system; • excavation, backfilling, compaction and restoration of such excavations in the course of performing work in the water distribution system; • regular flushing of dead end system main lines monthly or more often if required and Contractor must record the gallons flushed on maintenance report; • annual fire hydrant flow testing, inspection and maintenance per GUA protocol; • customer requested meter field testing to assure accuracy. • customer requested bench testing to assure accuracy
Water Distribution Systems a. The land use shall be served by a water distribution system that is adequate to serve the proposed use and density.
Water Distribution Systems. In its capacity as contract city and district engineer, XXXX has engineered and inspected the installation of many miles of dis- tribution pipeline up to 16 inches in diameter. This experience includes several bore and jack installations under interstate and state highways and railroads and directional bores under large diameter culverts. We have designed many pressure reducing stations and find that each client has different expectations for materials, valve type, and piping configuration. We involve clients in the design process to ensure their satisfaction with the finished product. Hyrum City Water System Improvements Client: Hyrum City Contact: Xxxxx Xxxxxx, (000) 000-0000 AQUA Engineering serves as the contract City Engineer for Hyrum City, Utah, which upgrades or replaces a portion of its water distribution system each year. The project for 2013 involved the replacement of 2,000 linear feet of 14” steel pipeline with AWWA C905 PVC pipeline in Hyrum Boulevard. There were a number of city and franchise utilities to accommodate in the design. AQUA worked with city staff to select the best route for the pipeline. The schedule was tight and required a very aggres- sive design and bidding timeline to ensure the project could be completed to minimize disruption to a nearby elementary school and ensure service to a new residential development. West Wendover Boulevard 16-inch Waterline Client: City of West Wendover Contact: Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx, (000 000-0000 Project consisted of 8,000 linear feet of 16-inch AWWA C909 PVC pipe from 1.5 million gallon reservoir to a connection point in the distribution system and two pressure reducing stations. The project included hydraulic modeling of the distribution system to establish the optimal position of the pressure reducing stations to balance flows between reservoirs in the distribution system. There were less than two percent change orders on construction of this project. Emigration ID System Improvements Client: Emigration Canyon Improvement District Contact: Xxxx Xxxxxx, (000) 000-0000 AQUA performed the initial water system evaluation and modeling followed by design and project management for 22,600 lineal feet of 8” water main along the main canyon road including fire hydrants, pressure reducing stations, connection to existing line, service laterals, and asphalt patching.
