Common use of Witness or Jury Duty Clause in Contracts

Witness or Jury Duty. Any employee who is summoned to serve as a juror or subpoenaed as a witness for the Crown in a case which he has no personal interest, and who would otherwise be on normal working duty for the Corporation, will be granted a leave of absence for such purpose. He will be paid in full wages at the regular rates less legal and authorized deductions for such services upon submission of a receipt to the Treasurer of the Corporation for the deposit of his jury or witness fee.
