Work on Holidays. Full-time and part-time nurses required to work on the following holidays shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1½) times the nurse’s regular rate of pay: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Designated holidays begin at 10:45 p.m. on the eve of the holiday and end at 11:15 p.m. the evening of the holiday.

Full-time Nurses who are scheduled and part-time nurses required to work on the following holidays shall New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day (last Monday in May), and Christmas Day will be paid at the rate of one time and one-half. One personal holiday for a regular or part-time nurse (a regularly scheduled workday selected by the nurse and scheduled off in advance of the posted work schedule) shall additionally be recognized and paid at the holiday rate of time and one-half (1½) times the nurse’s regular rate of pay: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, if worked. Nurses who are on-call not scheduled but are called in to work on Thanksgiving Day and or Christmas Day. Designated holidays begin at 10:45 p.m. on the eve of the holiday and end at 11:15 p.m. the evening of the holidayshall receive double time for all hours worked.
