Workplace Representative Rights a) Each Union delegate/shop xxxxxxx or Workplace Representative who is party to this Agreement shall be granted reasonable time to attend to employee’s representative issues on the job and other Union business. The granting of such time will consider the organisation’s rostering needs and will not unduly affect the operation of ERLC.

Workplace Representative Rights. The employer recognises all appointed/elected workplace Union Delegates upon notification by the Australian Services Union (ASU) party to this Agreement. • Workplace delegates are ASU members elected by ASU union members to represent them in Agreement and other union negotiations. • The employer undertakes to treat all union delegates fairly and to allow them to perform their role as union delegates without discrimination in the employment. • The employer respects that union delegates can speak on behalf of union members in the workplace. • The union delegate will have the right to approach, or be approached by an employee to discuss any matter related to employment or agreement matters. • Each nominated union representative shall be entitled to devote reasonable paid time to attend to staff issues on the job. • Union delegates will have reasonable access to office software packages, telephone, photocopying, Internet and email facilities for the purposes of carrying out work as a delegate. • The employer allows union information to be displayed. • All parties both union and non-union will respect each other, the workplace and operational needs and requirements when conducting these discussions. • Union delegates have reasonable paid time off their normal job to attend to union matters.
Workplace Representative Rights. 44.1 The Company will continue to recognise the rights of employee representatives to represent their members. It will provide sufficient time off work and resources for them to do so. However it will not agree to paid leave for union delegate training. However workplace representatives may be granted leave without pay to attend union delegate training, although this will be subject to operational requirements and no expectation is given that this will automatically occur.

  • Exclusive Representative The University recognizes UPTE-CWA 9119, which was certified by the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) on April 15, 1996 in SF-PC-1051-H as the sole and exclusive representative for the purposes of collective bargaining with respect to wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment for all employees, excluding employees defined by XXXXX as managerial, supervisory and/or confidential and all student employees whose employment is contingent upon their status as students, in the bargaining unit.

  • Employee Representative The employee may choose someone to represent him or her at any step in the procedure. No person hearing a grievance need recognize more than one representative for any employee at any one time, unless he or she so desires.

  • Nurse Representatives The Employer agrees to recognize two (2) Nurse Representatives for the purpose of dealing with grievances and conducting Union interviews.

  • Grievance Representative Employees presenting a grievance under Step 2 shall be represented by a representative of the Union.

  • EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVES 13.01 The Employer acknowledges the right of the Alliance to appoint or otherwise select employees as representatives.

  • Grievance Representatives Within 30 working days after the execution of this Agreement, the Union shall furnish the Xxxxxxx with a list of all persons authorized to act as the Chapter and UPI Local Grievance Representatives and shall update the list as changes occur. The designated Chapter Grievance Representative shall be an employee of the University and shall have the responsibility to meet classes, office hours, and other assigned duties and responsibilities. If the responsibilities of the Chapter Grievance Representative require rescheduling of the representative's University duties, the representative may, with the approval of the Xxxxxxx, arrange for the rescheduling of such duties or their coverage by colleagues. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. The provisions of Article 15.4. shall also apply to the UPI Local Grievance Representative if he or she is an employee of the University.

  • Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Employer in advance whenever the designated representatives of the Union intend to visit the Employer’s premises for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits shall not interfere with the normal operations of the worksite. Reasonable accommodation will be made to allow the Presidents of the Unions to have access to union members to conduct union business.

  • Notice of Union Representative Visits The Union shall inform the Company when any representative of the Union intends to visit the worksite for the purpose of conducting Union business. Such visits will not disrupt employees working without the supervisor/manager’s permission.

  • Safety Representative On every job site, workers may elect a Workers’ Safety Representative in accordance with the Act.

  • Nurse Representatives & Grievance Committee (a) The Hospital agrees to recognize Association representatives to be elected or appointed from amongst nurses in the bargaining unit for the purpose of dealing with Association business as provided in this Collective Agreement. The number of representatives and the areas which they represent are set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions.
