Workplace Representatives. An Employee who is elected as a representative of the workplace shall, upon written notification to and acceptance (such acceptance relates only to the number of representatives and shall not be unreasonably withheld) by the Human Resources department, be recognised as an accredited Workplace Representative for matters related to the operation of this Agreement. With the permission of their supervisor an accredited Workplace Representative will be able to undertake duties that are required of this role within working hours.
Workplace Representatives. 6.2.1 To facilitate a harmonious, consultative and cooperative approach to employee relations with TIO, staff who have been duly appointed as FSU Workplace Representatives by the FSU Local Executive Secretary, will be allowed reasonable time and facilities during working hours to attend to their duties as Workplace Representatives, including: • attending union education; and • addressing new employees about the benefits of union membership at the time that they enter employment.
Workplace Representatives. Where an employee is an official workplace representative, upon proof of their status as endorsed by the relevant Association the following leave shall apply subject to the operational needs of the employer :
(a) Leave to attend trade union and union delegate courses/seminars shall be as follows:
(1) To a maximum of 3 days per year (1 January to 31 December) for each facility for the totality of all applications of paid union leave, union delegate training leave, attendance at association conferences, meetings and courses provided that:
(i) The scope, content and level of the courses are directed to the enhancement of the settlement of dispute/dispute settlement procedure/s;
(ii) That two weeks period of notice is given to the employer;
(iii) The approval of leave must have regard to the operational requirements of the employer;
(iv) The employer shall not unreasonably refuse the employee’s request
(b) Leave of absence granted pursuant to this clause shall count as service for all purposes of this agreement.
Workplace Representatives. 43.1 Where employees at the workplace have elected a workplace representative/s to represent the employee/s in employment related matters, Aurizon shall provide the representative/s reasonable time to discuss the relevant matter with the employee/s and management. Any employee representative will be allowed reasonable time to attend to any work related matter, where they have been so appointed.
43.2 Aurizon will allow employee representatives reasonable access to telephone, facsimile and photocopying facilities for the purpose of carrying out their role. The use of resources by an employee representative will be subject to the representative complying with the prevailing Aurizon policy provisions (which will not impose unreasonable restriction on the operation of this clause).
Workplace Representatives. The Employer acknowledges and accepts the rights of employees to belong to a union and to be represented by their Union Workplace Representative(s), Deputy Union Workplace representative, union official or other representation. The union workplace representative and deputy will be treated with the same respect as any employee, meet with management and staff to discuss union matters and issues affecting the workplace and receive the training, support and access to resources to effectively fulfill their role.
Workplace Representatives. (1) SJGHC recognises that trade unions have a legitimate interest in representing their members.
(2) SJGHC also recognises and acknowledges that accredited workplace union representatives have an important role to play in the workplace and may be appointed as endorsed representatives of the union.
(3) Accredited representatives will be treated fairly and be able to perform their role as union delegates without any fear of discrimination or victimisation in their employment.
(4) Accredited representatives will have reasonable access to telephone, facsimile and photocopying facilities for the purpose of carrying out work as a representative subject to the prior approval of their manager.
(5) Accredited representatives may request approval from their manager for paid time off during normal working hours to perform their role as per subclause (1) above. Any such request shall be considered by the manager taking into account the operational requirements of the representative’s department.
(6) Accredited representatives will be able to place union information on noticeboards provided for such purposes in the workplace.
(7) Subject to a minimum of four weeks notice and the operational needs of the hospital, SJGHC will provide a minimum of one day’s paid leave each calendar year to enable accredited representatives to attend appropriate union education and training. An additional one day’s leave will be made available to newly appointed representatives in their first year of appointment to that role. Any additional training requests above these levels will be considered.
Workplace Representatives. Upon written advice from the Union Branch Secretary that one or more members have been appointed as a Union Workplace Representative, the employer shall recognise such person or persons as being accredited by the Union for the following purposes:
Workplace Representatives. 35.1 SPS recognises the importance of workplace representatives and therefore the following support subject to prior approval by the Director SPS.
35.1.1 Allowing union delegates reasonable opportunity to carry out SPS related general union business on-site at times mutually convenient to the employee and SPS.
35.1.2 Allowing employees reasonable time to attend meetings called by their Union(s) or the SPS Consultative Committee.
35.1.3 Allowing employees to attend Industrial Relations Commission of New South Wales if they are required as a witness or to assist the union advocate on matters affecting SPS.
35.1.4 The right to address new employees about their benefits of union membership at the time they enter employment.
35.2 The right to reasonable access to telephone, fax, photocopying, internet and email facilities for the purpose of carrying out work delegate and consulting with workplace colleagues and the Union.
Workplace Representatives. 17.4.1 The parties are agreed that an elected workplace representative may apply for, or be nominated for, attendance at training courses which are deemed by the employer to contribute to the Consultative Process described above and the Disputes Procedure described in Clause 18. Approval to attend such training courses will not be unreasonably withheld.

Workplace Representatives. (a) (a) Port Authority recognises the importance of Employee workplace representatives and therefore provides the following support subject to prior approval by the Head of People and Culture:
(i) allowing workplace representatives reasonable opportunity to carry out Port Authority related business on-site at times mutually convenient to the Employee and Port Authority;
(ii) allowing workplace representatives reasonable time to attend meetings called by management, their Union or the Port Authority Consultative Committee; and
(iii) the right to reasonable access of a telephone, fax, photocopying, internet and email facilities for the purpose of carrying out work as a workplace representatives and consulting with workplace colleagues.
