Part-Time Work. An employee who is pregnant or is entitled to parental leave may, by agreement with the employer, reduce the employee’s hours of employment to an agreed extent subject to the following conditions;
F.4.12.1 Where the employee is pregnant, and to do so is necessary or desirable because of the pregnancy; or
F.4.12.2 Where the employee is entitled to parental leave, by reducing the employee’s entitlement to parental leave for the period of such agreement.
Part-Time Work. Unless otherwise provided for in this Agreement, the Corporation agrees that part-time employees shall be used only for part-time operational requirements.
Part-Time Work. The following provisions apply to full-time and part-time team members only.
Part-Time Work. An employee may request a regular part-time work schedule of fewer than 80 hours per pay period. Approval shall be at the discretion of the Division Director and the EO on a fiscal year basis considering business needs of the District. The part-time schedule may be rescinded by the EO with a 30-day notice to the affected employee for business needs or for unsatisfactory employee performance.
Part-Time Work. (All employees) An employee may request to work on a part-time basis. A request to work part-time for a limited duration is subject to the operational needs of the department as determined by the Department Head. The Department Head may grant part-time assignments of limited duration. Extensions of part-time assignments will be considered upon employee request. All part-time assignments may be periodically reconsidered by the Department Head. If the Department Head determines additional hours are required in the position, the employee will be given thirty days notice of the requirement to work increased hours. Part-time assignments must be a minimum of 20 hours per week. Part-time regular employees receive insurance benefits and paid leave benefits prorated based on the number of hours worked. To change an employee from full-time to part-time status requires a Personnel Action Form (PAF) and notification to the Personnel Office.
Part-Time Work. To the extent permissible under applicable local law, if the Participant commences working on a part-time basis, then the vesting schedule specified in the Grant Notice may be adjusted in accordance with the Company’s part-time work policy or the terms of an agreement between the Participant and the Company pertaining to the Participant’s part-time schedule.
Part-Time Work. 9.1 An employee may be engaged on a part-time basis. A part-time employee shall mean a weekly employee engaged to work regular days and regular hours, either of which are less than the number of days or hours worked by a full-time employee.
9.2 A part- time employee is entitled to a minimum start per occasion of 3 continuous hours, except:
9.2.1 where the employer and the employee concerned agree that there shall be a start of 2 continuous hours on 2 or more days per week, provided that:
Part-Time Work. If either part-time work day or work week positions are to be created in any job classification, such reduced work day, work week positions shall be first offered to current bargaining unit members provided they have the appropriate qualifications before being offered to employees new to the system.
1. Employees who are part-time may apply for additional work up to full-time employment.
2. Full-time employees may apply for part-time positions, should the vacancy be timely, i.e. summer. Where the vacancy is not timely, and the educational interests of the district, in the judgment of the superintendent, permit, a substitute will be hired to fill the position until the application is timely. To trigger this option, the member must express on-going interest in the position. In no event will this option last beyond the then school year. An employee accepting a part-time position waives the right to return to full-time employment until a new vacancy occurs at which time he/she may apply for the vacancy.
Part-Time Work. 39.1 A part-time employee is one whose ordinary hours of work are less than 37 hours and 30 minutes per week.
39.2 Unless otherwise specified in this Agreement, remuneration and other conditions for part-time employees, including leave, will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
39.3 Allowances of a reimbursement/expense nature will be the same for part- time and full-time employees.
39.4 Where an employee is part-time, the employee will have a part-time work agreement prepared which will specify:
(a) the ordinary hours of work;
(b) the core hours and standard day that will apply to the employee;
(c) the duration of the part-time work; and
(d) any specific arrangements that are needed to facilitate the part-time work.
