Xxxxxx sought. The supervisor will attempt to resolve the grievance and will furnish a written statement of their position within seven (7) calendar days.
Xxxxxx sought. The parties agree to abide by the award made in connection with any arbitral difference. There will be no suspension of work, slow down or curtailment of services while any difference is in process of adjustment or arbitration. In connection with any arbitration proceeding held pursuant to this Agreement, it is understood as follows:
a) The arbitrator shall have no power to render a decision that will add to, subtract from or alter, change or modify the terms of this Agreement, and the arbitrator's power shall be limited to interpretation or application of the express terms of this Agreement, and all other matters shall be excluded from arbitration.
b) The decision of the arbitrator shall be final, conclusive and binding upon the City, the Union, and the employee(s) involved.
c) The cost of the arbitrator shall be borne equally by the City and the Union, and each party shall bear the cost of presenting its own case.
d) The arbitrator's decision shall be made in writing and shall be issued to the parties within thirty (30) days after the case is submitted to the arbitrator. Nothing herein shall be construed as preventing the City and Union from settling by mutual agreement, prior to final award, any grievance submitted to arbitration herein.
Xxxxxx sought. The grievance, including the facts, theory and remedy sought, may be revised or modified throughout the grievance process.

Step 2 - Written Submission of the Grievance to Deputy Director If the decision of the Xxxxxx House Administrator does not settle the grievance, the Union Representative or Shop Xxxxxxx may, within ten (10) workdays following the receipt of the Xxxxxx House Administrator’s answer in Step 1, submit the written grievance to the Deputy Director and/or their designee for the purpose of arranging a meeting to discuss the grievance. The written grievance shall contain the following:
(a) Detailed facts upon which the grievance is based.
(b) Reference(s) to the Section(s) of the Agreement alleged to have been violated and arguments as to how the actions in (a) above violate the Agreement.
(c) The remedy sought. The meeting shall be held within seven (7) workdays following receipt of the written grievance and shall be attended by the Union Representative or Shop Xxxxxxx, employee and Deputy Director. The Deputy Director shall provide a written answer to the grievance within ten (10) workdays following the meeting. Step 3 - Submission of the Grievance to the Executive Director If resolution is not reached in the second step above, the Union Representative may, within ten (10) workdays following the answer given in Step 2, submit the grievance in writing to the Executive Director or their designee, who will meet with the employee and the Union Representative within ten (10) workdays to settle the grievance and over their signatures indicate the disposition thereof.
Xxxxxx sought. The Parole & Probation Manager, or designee, shall attempt to resolve the grievance and shall furnish a written statement of their position within fourteen (14) calendar days.
Xxxxxx sought. The Roadmaster shall respond in writing to the grievance within five (5) workdays after receipt of the written grievance.
Xxxxxx sought. The immediate supervisor shall inform the employee and the union in writing of the disposition 4 of the grievance within fifteen (15) workdays of the presentation of the grievance. If an 5 agreeable disposition has been made, the aggrieved party shall terminate the grievance in 6 writing within ten (10) workdays.
Xxxxxx sought. The supervisor shall attempt to resolve the grievance if resolution is possible within his/her scope of authority, and shall in any case furnish a written statement of his/her position within five (5) working days after the written grievance has been filed.
