Employment Insurance Benefit definition

Employment Insurance Benefit means an unemployment benefit payable by reason of unemployment (excluding disability) under the Employment Insurance Act, including any training allowances but excluding any allowance for transportation, subsistence, equipment or other cost of training and excluding any Back-To-Work payment for a week made, in addition to the regular Employment Insurance Benefit otherwise payable for such week, to a P.S.O. who has been on layoff for a prescribed number of weeks and returns to full-time work within a prescribed period, and also means the amount of any partial or lost-time benefit which a P.S.O. received under a Workers' Compensation Act or other law providing benefits for injury or disease. If a P.S.O. receives a Workers' Compensation benefit while working full time and a higher Workers' Compensation benefit while on layoff from the Employer, only the amount by which the Workers' Compensation benefits is increased shall be included.
Employment Insurance Benefit means an unemployment benefit payment by a Canada Employment Centre, including any federal or provincial training allowances.
Employment Insurance Benefit means the amount of any partial benefit which an Employee received under a Workers’ Compensation law or other law providing benefits for occupational injury or disease, while not totally disabled and while ineligible for a sickness and accident benefit under the Insurance Program, and a benefit payable under Employment Insurance, including any dependency allowances and training allowances (excluding any allowances for transportation, subsistence including accommodation allowances, equipment or other cost of training). If an employee receives a Workers’ Compensation benefit while working full time and a higher Workers’ Compensation benefit while on layoff from the Company, only the amount by which the Workers’ Compensation benefit is increased shall be included;

Examples of Employment Insurance Benefit in a sentence

  • An employee on pregnancy leave who is in receipt of Employment Insurance pregnancy leave benefits shall be paid a supplemental Employment Insurance Benefit.

  • An employee on parental leave who is in receipt of Employment Insurance parental leave benefits shall be paid a supplemental Employment Insurance Benefit.

  • Notwithstanding Article above, an employee must complete ten months of continuous service prior to the expected date of birth to be paid a supplemental Employment Insurance Benefit.

Employment Insurance Benefit means a benefit as defined by the Canadian Employment Insurance Act.

  • Severance Benefit means the payment of severance compensation as provided in Article III.

  • Medical Benefits means the monthly fair market value of benefits provided to the Employee and the Employee’s dependents under the major medical, dental and vision benefit plans sponsored and maintained by the Company, at the level of coverage in effect for such persons immediately prior to the Employee’s termination of employment date. The “monthly fair market value” of such benefits shall be equal to the monthly cost as if such persons elected COBRA continuation coverage at such time at their own expense.

  • employment zone means an area within Great Britain designated for the purposes of section 60 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 and an “employment zone programme” means a programme established for such an area or areas designed to assist claimants for a jobseeker’s allowance to obtain sustainable employment;

  • Health Benefits means health maintenance organization, insured or self-funded medical, dental, vision, prescription drug and behavioral health benefits.

  • Covered benefits or “benefits” means those health care services to which a covered person is entitled under the terms of a health benefit plan.

  • Disability Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 8.

  • Severance Compensation means the compensation set forth in (i), (ii), and (iv) above.

  • Termination Compensation means a monthly cash amount equal to one-twelfth ( 1/12th) of the highest amount of the annual cash compensation (including cash bonuses and other cash-based compensation, including for these purposes amounts earned or payable whether or not deferred) received by Executive during any one of the three (3) calendar years immediately preceding the calendar year in which Executive’s Termination Date occurs; provided, that if the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year exceeds the highest amount of the annual cash compensation received by Executive during any one of the immediately preceding three (3) consecutive calendar years, the cash compensation received by Executive during the Termination Year shall be deemed to be Executive’s highest amount of annual cash compensation. In no event shall Executive’s Termination Compensation include equity-based compensation (e.g., income realized as a result of Executive’s exercise of non-qualified stock options or other stock based benefits).

  • Severance Period means the period of time commencing on the date of the first occurrence of a Change in Control and continuing until the earlier of (i) the second anniversary of the occurrence of the Change in Control and (ii) the Executive’s death.

  • Separation Benefits has the meaning accorded such term in Section 3.04.

  • Change in Control Benefits means the following benefits:

  • Severance Payment means any amount paid by a board to or in behalf of a superintendent on early termination of the superinten- dent’s contract that exceeds the amount earned by the superinten- dent under the contract as of the date of termination, including any amount that exceeds the amount of earned standard salary and benefits that is paid as a condition of early termination of the con- tract. Payments to a former superintendent who remains employed by a district in another capacity or contracts with a district to pro- vide the district services may be severance payments in whole or in part if the payments are compensation for the early termination of a prior employment agreement. Severance payments include any payment for actual or threatened litigation involving or related to the employment contract. Education Code 11.201(c); 19 TAC 105.1021(a)(1)

  • Termination Benefit means the benefit set forth in Article 7.

  • Severance means the complete separation and dismemberment of the part from the body.

  • Severance Term means the twenty-four (24) month period following Executive’s termination by the Company without Cause (other than by reason of death or Disability) or by Executive for Good Reason.

  • Disability retirement for plan 1 members, means the period

  • Disability means total and permanent disability as defined in Section 22(e)(3) of the Code.

  • Change in Control Severance Benefits means the benefits payable pursuant to Section 3 of this Agreement.

  • Severance Amount means (A) for any Termination other than during a Covered Period, an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of Executive’s then-current Annual Base Salary as of the respective Termination; or (B) for a Termination during a Covered Period, an amount equal to two hundred percent (200%) of Executive’s Base Compensation as of the respective Termination.
