  • washing means a process of separation by water using only size as a criterion.

  • Trash means solids not considered to be highly flammable or explosive including, but not limited to clothing, rags, leather, plastic, rubber, floor coverings, excelsior, tree leaves, yard trimmings and other similar materials.

  • Cleaner means a product designed and labeled primarily to remove soil or other contaminants from surfaces.

  • Ballast means an electronic light source control gear between supply and light source to stabilise the electrical current of a gas-discharge light source;

  • Graffiti shall not include: (1) any sign or banner that is authorized by, and in compliance with, the applicable requirements of the San Francisco Public Works Code, the San Francisco Planning Code or the San Francisco Building Code; or (2) any mural or other painting or marking on the property that is protected as a work of fine art under the California Art Preservation Act (California Civil Code Sections 987 et seq.) or as a work of visual art under the Federal Visual Artists Rights Act of 1990 (17 U.S.C. §§ 101 et seq.). Any failure of Contractor to comply with this section of this Agreement shall constitute an Event of Default of this Agreement.

  • Rubbish means solid or liquid wastes from residences, commercial establishments, or institutions.

  • Slash means all debris created on the Work area by the precommercial thinning operation.

  • Carpet Area means the net usable floor, area of an Flat/Apartment, excluding the area covered by the external walls, areas under services shafts, excluding balcony or verandah area and exclusive open terrace, but includes the area covered by the internal partition walls of the flat/apartment;

  • Pile means any non-containerized accumulation of solid, nonflowing hazardous waste that is used for treatment or storage and that is not a containment building.

  • Dust means any solid matter in a fine or disintegrated form which is capable of being dispersed or suspended in the atmosphere;

  • Drainage area means a geographic area within which stormwater, sediments, or dissolved materials drain to a particular receiving waterbody or to a particular point along a receiving waterbody.

  • Season means the period of time between an AGM and the subsequent AGM.

  • Meters shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.6(a) hereof.

  • Kitchen means a food preparation area that includes a sink, refrigerator and a microwave oven or stove.

  • Nighttime means the period between sunset and sunrise.

  • Basement means any area of the building having its floor subgrade (below ground level) on all sides.

  • Work area means a room or defined space in a workplace where hazardous chemicals are produced or used, and where employees are present.

  • Incinerator means any enclosed device that:

  • Tank means an enclosed space which is formed by the permanent structure of a ship and which is designed for the carriage of liquid in bulk.

  • Recycled water or “reclaimed water” means treated or recycled waste water of a quality suitable for non-potable uses such as landscape irrigation and water features. This water is not intended for human consumption.

  • Weekend means a Saturday and the following Sunday, assuring a minimum of fifty-six (56) hours off duty;
