Short Notice definition
Short Notice means the short-form notice of this proposed class action Settlement, substantially in the form as shown in Exhibit D to this Settlement Agreement. The Short Notice will direct recipients to the Settlement Website where recipients may view the Long Notice and make a claim for monetary relief. The Short Notice will also inform Class Members, inter alia, of the Claims Deadline, the Opt-Out Date and Objection Date, and the date of the Final Approval Hearing.
Short Notice is defined as when an employee notifies the Employer shortly before the beginning of their shift that they shall not be at work as a result of accident, illness or injury. This agreement anticipates “short notice” to mean notice given within a few hours of the shift commencing, which would result in the management of the store experiencing extreme difficulties in finding a replacement in the normal method, without changing the schedule. Basically, “short notice” delineates a time period familiar to the parties and construed to be a day (i.e., 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.).

Short notice also covers any calls that the store receives after 6:00 p.m. the afternoon prior to scheduled shifts that start before noon the following day. This agreement anticipates “short notice” to mean notice given within a few hours of the shift commencing, which would result in the management of the store experiencing extreme difficulties in finding a replacement in the normal method, without changing the schedule. Basically, “short notice” delineates a time period familiar to the parties and construed to be a day.
Examples of Short Notice in a sentence
The Short Notice, Long Notice, and Claim Form shall be reviewed by the Claims Administrator and may be revised as agreed upon by the Settling Parties before such submissions to the Court for approval.
The Short Notice, Long Notice, and Claim Form approved by the Court may be adjusted by the Claims Administrator in consultation with an agreement by the Settling Parties, as may be reasonable and necessary and not materially inconsistent with such approval.
