Southern District Health Board. (in respect of all sites that were formerly part of the Otago District Health Board) After every 10 years of continuous service the employee will be entitled to a long service holiday of two weeks. Such leave is to be taken in one continuous spell within five years of qualifying, except where an employee had an entitlement to long service leave under a previous employment contract or agreement. Employees who are eligible for long service leave at the date of retirement or resignation are entitled to equivalent (i.e. two or four weeks) salary in lieu of leave.
