Staffing Services Business definition

Staffing Services Business means (A) a firm which recruits, trains and/or tests employees and assigns them to clients (i) to provide staffing help services for such client to support or supplement the client's work force in work situations such as employee absences, temporary skill shortages, seasonal workloads and special assignments and projects, (ii) to provide staffing help services for such client for short-term and long-term temporary placement and temporary to permanent arrangements for the client to eventually hire the service provider as its own employee, and (iii) to provide permanent individual employees for permanent employment placement fees, or (B) any of the business activities described in this subsection (c).
Staffing Services Business shall have the meaning set forth in Section 3.4.

More Definitions of Staffing Services Business

Staffing Services Business means the business of Olsten and its subsidiaries whereby it provides assignment employees in a variety of service areas (other than the Health Services Business), including: supplemental staffing; evaluation and training for office technology; general office and administrative services; accounting and other financial services; legal, scientific, engineering and technical services, including production technical training; call centers; production/distribution/assembly services; training and pre-employment services; retail services; marketing support and teleservices; manufacturing, construction and industrial services; and managed services for corporations.
Staffing Services Business means the Credit Parties’ staffing services business, as conducted as of the Closing Date, including the following: (i) direct placement and temporary staffing services; (ii) direct hire placement, including the finding of suitable candidates from the Credit Parties’ national network of candidates across a broad range of disciplines; and (iii) direct hire placement services on a contingency basis and as a retained service provider (including temporary workforce needs). Pursuant to this line of business, the Credit Parties have responsibility for payroll, payroll taxes, employee benefits, health insurance, workers’ compensation coverage, workplace safety programs, compliance with federal and state employment laws, labor and workplace regulatory requirements and related administrative responsibilities.

Related to Staffing Services Business

  • Financial Services Business for purposes of this Unit Agreement shall mean the business of banking, including deposit, credit, trust and investment services, mortgage banking, asset management, and brokerage and investment banking services.

  • Pharmacy services means the practice of pharmacy as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW and includes any drugs or devices as defined in chapter 18.64 RCW.

  • The Services means those services ancillary to the supply of the Goods, such as transportation and insurance, and any other incidental services, such as installation, commissioning, provision of technical assistance, training, and other such obligations of the Supplier covered under the Contract.

  • Food services means the preparation and serving of nutritionally balanced meals and snacks.

  • Disaster Recovery Services means the Services embodied in the processes and procedures for restoring the provision of Services following the occurrence of a Disaster, as detailed further in Call Off Schedule 8 (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery);

  • Specialized services means any program or service designed and operated to serve primarily individuals with developmental disabilities, including a program or service provided by an entity licensed or certified by the department. If there is a question as to whether a provider or entity under contract with a provider is providing specialized services, the provider or contract entity may request that the director of the department make a determination. The director's determination is final.

  • Medical services means Medically Necessary services, including, as the context requires, Confinement, treatments, procedures, tests, examinations or other related services for the investigation or treatment of a Disability.

  • Cannabis business means any business activity involving cannabis, including but not limited to cultivating, transporting, distributing, manufacturing, compounding, converting, processing, preparing, storing, packaging, delivering, testing, dispensing, retailing and wholesaling of cannabis, of cannabis products or of ancillary products and accessories, whether or not carried on for gain or profit.

  • Emergency medical services provider means a person who has received formal training in prehospital and emergency care, and is licensed to attend any person who is ill or injured or who has a disability. Police officers, firefighters, funeral home employees and other persons serving in a dual capacity one of which meets the definition of “emergency medical services provider” are “emergency medical services providers” within the meaning of this chapter.

  • Products and Services means the products and/or services to be sold by Vendor hereunder as identified and described on Attachment A hereto and incorporated herein, as may be updated from time to time by Vendor to reflect products and/or services offered by Vendor generally to its customers.
