Standard Work Day Unless otherwise provided in this Agreement, a regular workday is a tour of duty of eight (8), consecutive hours of work, broken by rest periods and lunch period as detailed in this section, completed within not more than twenty-four (24) hours.
Employers who employ apprentices shall be responsible for the apprentice’s wages and fringe benefit payments for Standard Work Day hours spent attending apprentice training at the apprenticeship school.
Assignments outside the Standard Work Day shall only be for bona fide calls and shall not be held over from the Day Shift.
If termination of an Employee should come on Saturday, Sunday or a Holiday, payment for all work through the time of termination shall be mailed on the next Standard Work Day as provided in item (c), above, or be made available for pick-up at the Employer’s office at the terminated Employee’s discretion.
The Employer may establish an “Evening Shift” and/or a “Night Shift” in addition to a Standard Work Day (“Day Shift”) as defined in Section 1.
Hours Worked Rate 7- ½ hour Standard Work Day Minimum overtime shall be computed on fifteen (15) minute segments.
When an Employee is contacted by a Supervisor outside of their Standard Work Day and has a telephone conversation related to the Employee’s job duties and responsibilities, the Employee shall be compensated a minimum of fifteen (15) minutes for such conversation.
