Step Advancement definition

Step Advancement. A Unit Member shall advance to the next step on the Classified Salary Schedule at the end of the probationary period and annually thereafter on the Unit Member’s anniversary date (see section 8.2, “Anniversary Date”). A Unit Member’s anniversary date remains the same regardless of any promotion or reclassification.
Step Advancement. A teacher returning to duty following a general child care leave shall be placed on the next higher step of the salary schedule if they were on an active paid status over at least 3/4 of the total number of student contact days in the year in which the child care leave was granted. 3.1. A teacher who does not meet the requirements of Subd. 3 above will return at the same step for which he/she was qualified when child care leave was granted.
Step Advancement. A teacher must work at least 0.5 FTE or the equivalent thereof to qualify for step advancement on the salary schedule. If a teacher works a combined FTE of a least 0.5 FTE over a two-year period, then the teacher qualifies for step advancement following the second year. This subdivision is effective July 1, 2012 (i.e., for the 2012-13 step advancement). Under no condition shall a teacher be advanced more than one step within a one-year period.

More Definitions of Step Advancement

Step Advancement. Bargaining unit members shall advance to step 2 through step 7 when they have taught two (2) years, summer included, in their current step level with Xxxxx Xxxxxxx College. One (1) year equals two (2) semesters or one (1) semester plus a summer session. Advancement is granted at the beginning of each fall and spring semester, and no more than one (1) year experience can be calculated during any one (1) fiscal year. A fiscal year is from July 1 of the current year through June 30 of the succeeding year.
