Classified Salary Schedule. 19.1. CLASSIFIED SALARY SCHEDULE: See Appendix C and Appendix D for classified salary schedules. A “Me Too” clause that covers any increases given to any other group, i.e., management, confidential, and/or teachers is effective with the 2003-04 school year and remains ongoing. The District and the Union agree that should the District grant an across the board salary increase in pay to any bargaining unit, the District will grant the same percentage bonus/increase in pay to classified employees covered by the contract. B. At the beginning of the 11, 16, 21, 26, 29, 31, and 33 years of service, unit members shall receive three percent (3%) per year longevity increment. C. Step increases will be given to unit members on the first of the month of the unit members’ anniversary date of employment. Eligibility for step increases requires completion of seventy five percent (75%) of the work year. Promotion increases shall reflect a rate increase of not less than two and one-half (2.5%) for placement on the salary schedule, not to exceed a step 6 at the new salary range. A promotion is considered an increase in pay range on the salary schedule.

Appendix A-1 Classified Salary Schedule 2020-2021 The 2001-2002 salary schedule will increase by 5.5% and those classified employees beyond the pay table from the implementation of the 2000-2001 market study will also receive a 5.5% increase. The schedule will receive an additional .3% adjustment to bring the schedule to 96% of the identified market as per the spring 2001 market study. Position grade adjustments will also be done as per the spring 2001 market study recommendations. The 2002-2003 salary schedule will increase by 4.975% with an additional 2% increase to Grade A of the Classified pay schedule. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 1.5% percent for the 2003-2004 contract year. The District and Association have agreed to meet on or about February 1, 2004 to evaluate the District’s financial status and determine if an additional salary increase can be implemented if the increased costs do not create a budget deficit. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 1.95% for the 2004-2005 contract year. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 2.126% for the 2005-2006 contract year. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 2.50% for the 2006-2007 contract year. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 4.1% for the 2007-2008 contract year. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 1.5% for the 2008-2009 contract year. The Classified salary schedule will increase by 1.75% for the 2009-2010 contract year. An additional COLA amount, not to exceed 0.5% maximum, will be added if the district is allowed to keep emergency reserve funds in January 2010. This additional amount will be retroactive to the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year. The salary schedule for 2010-2011, including steps and longevity, will be frozen. For 2010-2011, reclassifications will only be conducted for new jobs to be added to the salary schedule. For the 2010-2011 school year, classified employees will receive one additional day of paid time off. For school-based employees, this will be given on Friday October 15, 2010, when schools will be closed. Non-school-based employees will receive one additional day of temporary leave to be used at a time mutually agreed upon by the employee and his/her supervisor. Classified Salary Schedule. FY 2015-2016: There shall be a 3.125% increase to the 2014-2015 salary schedule which includes the PERS adjustment of 1.125% effective July 1, 2015 computed as in prior years effective upon ratification by the Association and approval of the Board of Trustees and which is retroactive to the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. Net impact, 2% increase on the base. FY 2016-2017: There shall be a 2.0% increase to the adjusted 2015-2016 salary schedule computed as in prior years.

The maximum entry position will be Step 5. Placement beyond Step 1 will be determined by the District. Experience in same or similar positions will be the determining factor. Internal transfers within the same job family of personnel resulting in a reclassification at a higher range will result in placement on the salary schedule which results in greater pay; an involuntary internal transfer within the same job family of personnel resulting in a reclassification at a lower range will result in the employee being Y-rated. Y-rated means that the employee will receive the same hourly/monthly salary until the salary schedule range and step of the new assigned position results in equal or greater pay. 5.2.2 A member of the classified service working less than a full eight-hour day will receive the hourly rate of the regular placement on the schedule for the number of hours worked. 5.2.2.1 Former BJUHS employees who were deemed as full time based on a seven (7) hour day will have those terms honored. Upon termination, resignation or retirement of the employee holding that position, provisions of 5.2.2 will apply to the newly hired replacement. 5.5 Checks containing errors shall be corrected, and a supplemental check issued by the District, within five (5) working days subsequent to notification by the employee. 5.6 Employees shall be paid once per month, on or before the last working day of the month. Every July 1, the Superintendent shall notify the County Office of Education of the last working day of each month for the succeeding year. 5.7 Bomb Searches: Bargaining unit employees shall not be required to participate in bomb searches unless trained and compensated for hazardous duty (i.e., double time). 5.8 Disability Insurance will be offered to each employee through American Fidelity at his or her own expense.
