The Statement of Grievance definition

The Statement of Grievance shall name the employee involved, state the facts giving rise to the grievance, identify all the provisions of the agreement alleged to be violated by appropriate reference, state the contention of the employee with respect to these provisions, indicate the relief requested, and shall be signed by the employee involved. A meeting on the alleged grievance shall take place between the grievant, Association Representative (if requested in writing on the Grievance Form) and an administrator within ten (10) working days after receipt of the written grievance. The administrator may give the grievant an answer in writing within five (5) working days after the date of the meeting indicated in Step Two. If the grievance is not resolved in Step Two, then the grievant and/or the Association shall have the right to appeal the decision of Step Two within five (5) working days of receipt of said answer or time limits indicted in Step Two. Such appeal, "Statement of Grievance" shall be directed to the Superintendent/Designee. The Superintendent/Designee and the aggrieved employee (Association Representative and/or one other representative of the Association), may be present if the employee so desires and requests their presence in writing on the Grievance Form) shall meet within a reasonable time, not to exceed one week in an attempt to resolve the matter. The Superintendent/Designee shall render a written decision within ten (10) working days of the meeting of the parties as indicated in Step Three.

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.
