More Definitions of Xxxxxx Meeting

Xxxxxx Meeting. The employee shall have the right to respond either orally or in writing, or both within five (5) District business days to the Superintendent or designee. The purpose of the meeting shall be to permit the employee to respond to the charges against the employee, to offer information regarding the proposed discipline, and to examine the materials, if any, on which the proposed disciplinary action is based. The Superintendent or designee shall consider the employee’s response and within five (5) District business days recommend that the proposed disciplinary action either be taken or not taken. If the Superintendent or designee determines that the proposed disciplinary action should be taken, the Superintendent or designee shall issue a Notice of Intent To Discipline. If the Superintendent or designee determines that the proposed disciplinary action should not be taken, the Preliminary Notice of Written Discipline shall be withdrawn. A “Xxxxxx meeting” is not required for a disciplinary suspension of five (5) work days or less. The District will pay back pay to the employee for any portion of an unpaid suspension that is not upheld.

  • Open meeting or "public meeting" means a meeting at which the public may be present.
