6th Day Sample Clauses

6th Day. All non-exempt employees may elect to work on the 6th day or 6 out of 7 workdays, at the applicable straight time rate of pay, in accordance with the following procedure: 1. Available work shall be offered by seniority to those employees in the classification who are not scheduled to work five (5) shifts in the case of servers and bartenders or less than forty (40) hours for other classifications. 2. An employee shall not be eligible for such work if the employee would be entitled to receive overtime pay. 3. Lacking sufficient volunteers, for such work in the classification, employees may be required to work on the 6th day, or 6 out of 7 days, at the applicable one and one-half (1 1/2) rate in accordance with 8.8.

6th Day. All non-exempt employees shall receive premium pay at the rate of time and one-half (1 ½) their regular straight-time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked on the sixth consecutive day; provided, however, that if the employee works this sixth day because of the employee's own request for a schedule change, or as a consequence of a request for a schedule change by another employee, then that employee shall not receive premium pay for that sixth (6th) day.

  • Day Unless otherwise stated, reference to the terms "day," "days," "month," or "months" mean calendar day, calendar days, calendar month, and calendar months, respectively.

  • Christmas Day Melbourne Cup Day (or alternative days in regional areas);

  • Holidays Falling on Saturday or Sunday ‌ For an employee whose workweek is from Monday to Friday, and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement; when a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies to the Monday), shall be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Holiday Falling on Saturday or Sunday For an employee whose normal workweek is from Monday to Friday and when any of the above-noted holidays falls on a Saturday and is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday will be deemed to be the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Sunday and it is not proclaimed as being observed on another day, the following Monday (or Tuesday, where the preceding section already applies), will be deemed to be the holiday for the purpose of this agreement.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.

  • Day not a Business Day If any day on or before which any action or notice is required to be taken or given hereunder is not a Business Day, then such action or notice shall be required to be taken or given on or before the requisite time on the next succeeding day that is a Business Day.

  • School Day The school day for members of the bargaining unit shall not exceed seven and one-half (7½) hours of consecutive time which shall include a duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of no less than thirty (30) minutes.

  • Month A period commencing at 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on the first Day of a calendar month and extending until 10:00 a.m., Eastern Standard Time, on the first Day of the next succeeding calendar month. Monthly shall have the correlative meaning.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.
