A Long Term Occasional. Teacher who is scheduled to work when there is a Professional Activity Day, will be paid for the day and will be required to participate in the scheduled professional activity sessions.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher whose assignment extends over a period which includes a Professional Activity Day shall be paid for such day provided that the Occasional Teacher participated in the scheduled professional activities.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher who anticipates making a request for such a leave shall make every effort to give the Employer the earliest possible notice in writing, but in any event not less than two (2) weeks before the intended commencement of the leave. The Long Term Occasional Teacher giving notice of pregnancy leave shall also provide the Employer with a certificate from a legally qualified medical practitioner stating the expected birth date.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher may not rescind a Long Term Assignment for the purposes of applying for and accepting a different Long Term Assignment. An Occasional Teacher who is in a Long Term Assignment may accept more than one Long Term Assignment so long as the acceptance of one does not require the rescinding of another. Nothing in this provision precludes a Long Term Occasional Teacher from rescinding a Long Term Assignment for the purposes of applying for and accepting a permanent position.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher, whose assignment includes a Professional Activity Day, shall be paid for the day provided the Teacher takes part in the activities. A break in service caused by PA days and/or semester break shall not constitute a break in continuity of service.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher intending to adopt a child should give the Director of Education, through the Principal, notice, where possible, of the intent to adopt, so that when the child becomes available the Long Term Occasional Teacher may cease duty immediately.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher who has given notice to the Board of the Long Term Occasional Teacher’s intention of beginning or ending pregnancy/ parental/adoption leaves may revise those time limits, providing the request is in writing to the Director of Education or designate at least two (2) weeks before the original date the leave was to begin, and at least four (4) weeks before the original date the leave was to end.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher’s placement on the salary grid shall be determined through the use of QECO Programme 5. The onus of proof of an Occasional Teacher’s placement on the schedule rests with the Occasional Teacher. Such proof must be documented.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher who acts as a Teacher-In-Charge shall be compensated by a responsibility allowance as outlined in the Keewatin Xxxxxxxx Elementary Teacher Collective Agreement Article L48:00 Teacher-In-Charge.
A Long Term Occasional. Teacher's salary on the grid shall be determined according to the teacher's qualifications, as put forward by QECO in its Programme 5, or a letter of equivalence issued by QECO.
15.06 a) Should a Long Term Occasional Teacher's experience level change during an assignment, the Occasional Teacher shall notify the Human Resources Department in writing, prior to the effective date of the experience level change. Should notification occur after the effective date, the change will occur upon the receipt of the letter.
