Premium rates for abnormal working conditions shall be as follows: Both Parties to this Agreement recognize that employees should not be required to work under abnormal working conditions, however, where it is unavoidable the following shall apply: A premium allowance of eighty cents (80¢) per hour shall be paid to employees working on a swing stage, over bridges or stacks, or towers, or over the side of buildings or vessels, such that they are working above surrounding terrain. Premium allowance shall apply to actual time while exposed, except that time shall be calculated in one (1) hour increments. This same premium shall apply to tree falling, working in culverts, working with raw sewage, or welding and cutting of galvanized material.
Abnormal Working Conditions. Premium rates for abnormal working conditions shall be as mutually agreed and a listing of such rates will be attached to this agreement. Abnormal conditions shall be defined as conditions arising from fire, flood, vandalism or an act of God; the premium rate of pay shall be fifty cents (50₵) per hour above the normal hourly rate of pay, with a minimum of three (3) hours and shall be paid only when abnormal work has been requested by the supervisor.
Abnormal Working Conditions. The District is committed to providing a safe workplace, and to ensuring that employees have access to all reasonably necessary safety equipment and safe work procedures. The District shall pay employees required to work under exceptionally unpleasant or difficult working conditions, as specifically listed below, a premium of seventy-five cents (75¢) per hour for each hour (or portion thereof) worked:
(a) In direct contact with raw/untreated sewage; or
(b) In an area contaminated by raw/untreated sewage (which shall not include custodial-type work).

(b) A premium allowance of $1.19 (plus the 2018 COLA) per hour shall be paid to employees working on a swing stage, over bridges or stacks, or towers, or over the side of building vessels, such that they are working above surrounding terrain. Premium allowance shall apply to actual time while exposed, except that time shall be calculated in one hour increments. This same premium shall apply to working with raw sewage, or welding and cutting of galvanized, aluminium and stainless steel material.
Abnormal Working Conditions. Employees performing storm or sanitary sewer maintenance shall receive $1.50 an hour in addition to their hourly rate.

Premium allowance shall apply to actual time while exposed, except that time shall be calculated in one hour increments. This same premium shall apply to falling trees over six inches in diameter, working inside culverts, working in vessels or tanks, working with raw sewage, or welding and cutting of galvanized or other hazardous materials.
Abnormal Working Conditions. All employees who are required to perform the following work shall receive in addition to the remuneration as provided for in Schedules 'A' and 'B':
(a) $.50 for coming into contact with raw sewage;
(b) $.40 while operating spray painting equipment.
