Activity During Work Hours. Reasonable time while on duty shall be permitted a Labor Council representative for the purpose of aiding or assisting or otherwise representing employees in the handling and processing of grievances or exercising other rights set forth in this Agreement, when such activities cannot be performed during non-work hours, and such reasonable time shall be without loss of pay. In no event shall such time be allowed if it compromises or unduly disrupts the operations of the department. In addition employees shall, after giving appropriate notice to the Village, be allowed reasonable time off, with pay during work hours to attend grievance hearings or grievance meetings, labor-management meetings, or other meetings with the Village, when such activities cannot be performed during non-work hours, at the premises of the Village, if by virtue of their position with the Labor Council, their attendance is necessary.

Activity During Work Hours. Reasonable time while on duty shall be permitted to one (1) Labor Council representative for the purposes of aiding or assisting or otherwise representing officers in processing of grievances or exercising other rights set forth in this Agreement, and such reasonable time shall be without loss of pay or benefits. In no event shall such time be allowed if it compromises or unduly disrupts the operations of the District. Such time is also subject to reasonable prior notice and approval of the Director of Public Safety, which approval shall not be unreasonably denied. One (1) employee shall be allowed reasonable time off, with pay, if working, to attend grievance meetings or labor- management meetings with the Employer if such meetings are scheduled by mutual agreement during the employee’s working hours. Attendance shall be subject to reasonable prior notice and the approval of the Director, which approval shall not be unreasonably denied. The Labor Council will advise the District, in writing, of the names of the stewards and notify the District promptly of any changes.
Activity During Work Hours. ‌ Employees shall be allowed released time without loss of pay to attend grievance step meetings, grievance arbitration hearings, or labor-management meetings which are scheduled during assigned work hours if the employee’s attendance at the meeting or hearing is required based upon their role or position as a Labor Council representative, provided the employee provides appropriate advance notice to the Chief of Police.‌

  • Union Activity During Working Hours The Employer and the Union recognize that union representatives and stewards play an important role in effectuating the terms of this Agreement; however, both parties acknowledge that the duties undertaken as a union representative or xxxxxxx are in addition to the their job assignments. The Union shall notify the Department of Budget and Management in writing of the names of designated stewards and union representatives prior to them assuming any duties. Consistent with the operational needs of the Employer, the Employer shall grant time off with pay for designated stewards and union representatives, including reasonable travel time when necessary, to attend:

  • Work During Vacation Period No employee shall be required to work during the employee's vacation once the vacation request has been approved.

  • Work During Vacation Should an employee who has commenced his scheduled vacation and agrees upon request by the Hospital to return to perform work during the vacation period, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his basic straight time rate for all hours so worked. To replace the originally scheduled days on which such work was performed, the employee will receive one (1) vacation lieu day off for each day on which he has so worked.

  • Rejection During Probation (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.4. The test of just cause for rejection shall be a test of suitability of the probationary employee for continued employment in the position to which they have been appointed, provided that the factors involved in suitability could reasonably be expected to affect work performance.

  • C4 Contract Price During Extension of the Initial Contract Period C4.1 Subject to the Pricing Schedule and the provision in clause F6 (Variation), the Contract Price shall apply for the Initial Contract Period and following an extension pursuant to clause F8 (Extension of Initial Contract Period), to the date of expiry of the extended period, or such earlier date of termination or partial termination of the agreement in accordance with the Law or the provisions of the Contract.   • Maintenance during Construction Period (i) During the Construction Period, the Contractor shall maintain, at its cost, the existing lane(s) of the Project Highway so that the traffic worthiness and safety thereof are at no time materially inferior as compared to their condition on Appointed Date, and shall undertake the necessary repair and maintenance works for this purpose; provided that the Contractor may, at its cost, interrupt and divert the flow of traffic if such interruption and diversion is necessary for the efficient progress of Works and conforms to Good Industry Practice; provided further that such interruption and diversion shall be undertaken by the Contractor only with the prior written approval of the Authority’s Engineer which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. For the avoidance of doubt, it is agreed that the Contractor shall at all times be responsible for ensuring safe operation of the Project Highway. It is further agreed that in the event the Project includes construction of a bypass or tunnel and realignment of the existing carriageway, the Contractor shall maintain the existing highway in such sections until the new Works are open to traffic.

  • Employee leaving during notice period An employee given notice of termination in circumstances of redundancy may terminate their employment during the period of notice. The employee is entitled to receive the benefits and payments they would have received under this clause had they remained in employment until the expiry of the notice, but is not entitled to any payment in lieu of any remaining notice.

  • Employee Leaving During Notice An employee whose employment is to be terminated for reasons set out in this clause may terminate employment during the period of notice and, if so, shall be entitled to the same benefits and payments under this clause had the employee remained with the employer until the expiry of such notice. This is with the provision that in such circumstances the employee shall not be entitled to payment instead of notice.

  • Time Off During Notice Period During the period of notice of termination given by the employer, an employee shall be allowed up to one day's time off without loss of pay for the purpose of seeking other employment. This time off shall be taken at times that are convenient to the employee after consultation with the employer.

  • Drawings Submitted During the Contract Term Where required to develop, maintain and deliver diagrams or other technical schematics regarding the scope of work, Contractor shall do so on an ongoing basis at no additional charge, and must, as a condition of payment, update drawings and plans during the Contract term to reflect additions, alterations, and deletions. Such drawings and diagrams shall be delivered to the Authorized User’s representative.
