Additional Teaching Load. Teachers who agree to teach more than a normal teaching load (as defined in Article XII, TEACHING HOURS, Section G) on a regular basis shall receive additional compensation on a prorata basis for each teaching period in excess of such norms.

Additional Teaching Load. Bargaining Unit Members who agree to teach more than a normal teaching load (as defined in Article XI., Section G.) on a regular basis shall receive additional compensation of one-fifth (1/5) of their salary for a year-long course, or one-tenth (1/10) for a semester-long course.‌
Additional Teaching Load. An effort will be made to limit assignments beyond the normal teaching loads. However, if a teacher is assigned by the building principal to teach more than the normal teaching load established for the grade level, they will receive additional compensation for contact time in excess of such norms. The principal may make this assignment to the teacher if it does not exceed four preparations in any given semester. Assignments beyond this point will be by the consent of the teacher. Additional Teaching Load. Where an Assistant or Head Teacher or Specialist teaches classes in addition to their normal schedule for a minimum of one consecutive month, such Assistant or Head Teacher or Specialist shall be paid $35.00 for each class (class period) taught. Nothing herein prevents the School from engaging a non-Employee, substitute teacher to perform such work.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • TEACHING CONDITIONS The parties recognize that the availability of optimum school facilities for both student and teacher is desirable to insure the high quality of education that is the goal of both the teacher and the Board. It is also acknowledged that the primary duty and responsibility of the teacher is to teach and that the organization of the school and the school day should be directed at insuring that the energy of the teacher is primarily utilized to this end.

  • Period of Services Unless otherwise stated herein, the Consultant will begin work after receipt of a properly executed copy of this Agreement. This Agreement assumes conditions permitting continuous and orderly progress through completion of the services. Times for performance shall be extended as necessary for delays or suspensions due to circumstances that the Consultant does not control. If such delay or suspension extends for more than six months, Consultant’s compensation shall be renegotiated.
