Advancement on the Salary Schedule 5.8.1 When a regular or term employee obtains an academic, professional, trades or technical credential, or equivalent, appropriate to their subject area, and the degree, credential or equivalent has not been credited for initial step placement pursuant to Article 5.6 Initial Placement, the employee may apply to Human Resources to have their step placement reviewed.
Placement on Salary Schedule The following rules shall be applicable in determining placement of a teacher on the appropriate salary schedule:
Placement on the Salary Schedule All teachers shall be placed on the appropriate step in the salary schedule taking into consideration the following:
Basic Salary Schedule The salaries of the members of the bargaining unit are set forth in Appendix A, which is attached to and made a part of this Agreement.
Salary Schedule The salaries of Employees covered by this Agreement are set forth in the salary schedule in Appendix B which is attached to and incorporated into this Agreement.
Status of Salary Schedule The salary schedules are not to be construed as part of a teacher’s continuing contract. In the event a successor Agreement is not entered into prior to the expiration date of this Agreement, a teacher shall be compensated according to the previous year’s compensation until such time that a successor Agreement is executed.
Salary Step Advancement No period of unpaid leave shall be counted toward time served for purposes of salary step advancement. Completion of at least 75% of the assigned work year for the employee in a paid status is a prerequisite to salary advancement.
