Alternate Work Weeks Sample Clauses
The Alternate Work Weeks clause establishes the option for employees and employers to agree on work schedules that differ from the standard five-day, eight-hour-per-day arrangement. This clause typically allows for compressed workweeks, such as four 10-hour days, or other flexible scheduling patterns, provided they comply with applicable labor laws and are mutually agreed upon. Its core function is to provide flexibility in scheduling, accommodating both operational needs and employee preferences, while ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations.
Alternate Work Weeks. Both parties agree that at the discretion of the Police Chief, alternative work schedules which include a total of 2,080 annual working hours, if mutually agreed to, may be implemented for designated periods of time for all represented employees for the lifetime of this MOU; any new alternative work schedule established during the term of this MOU shall initially be established on a six-month trial basis. During the trial period if there is a significant increase in overtime costs attributable to the trial plan, or significant increases in sick leave usage or workers compensation claims the department may opt to stop the trial work schedule.
Alternate Work Weeks. Alternate work week schedules may be established by mutual agreement between the parties.
7.1.2 Shifts: Energy Northwest may establish day shifts, rotating shifts or special shifts as necessary for the efficient conduct of its business. NSOs will be paid at the regular straight-time wage rate for the regular assigned shift exclusive of the lunch period. NSOs' shift hours shall be designated at least twenty- four (24) hours prior to the start of the shift, except as noted in subsection (c), below.
Alternate Work Weeks. Rail, Tie, and Ballast Crews Established under Rule 47 or 49 – Work weeks may be established consisting of five (5) eight (8) - hour days followed by two (2) consecutive rest days or four (4), ten-(10) hour days followed by three (3) consecutive rest days. The rest days of the work weeks shall include either Saturday or Sunday. However, where there is no Carrier need for weekend work, these crews shall be given both weekend days as rest days.
