Alternate Work Week Schedules. 1 Alternate work week schedules are defined as seven (7) 2 consecutive calendar days beginning four (4) hours after the employee’s start time on Monday 3 and ending four (4) hours after the employee’s start time on the following Monday, or 4 beginning four (4) hours after the employee’s start time on Friday and ending four (4) hours 5 after the employee’s start time on the following Friday; or a work schedule which may vary the 6 number of hours worked on a daily basis, but not necessarily each day, and is four (4) or five 7 (5) consecutive days beginning at 12:01 a.m. Monday and ending on the following Sunday at 8 12:00 midnight. Nine-Eighty’s (9-80s) would be considered an alternate work week schedule. 9 Article 7 governing holiday observance will apply.

Alternate Work Week Schedules. Employees scheduled to work an alternative 3 per year. Alternate Work Week Schedules. After the Company has used its best efforts to schedule as many employees as possible to the regular work week outlined above, variations as set out below shall be open for bid by seniority.
Alternate Work Week Schedules. Employees scheduled to work an alternative work week, such as four ten-hour days, shall be granted no more than ninety-six (96) holiday hours per year. Part-time regular and full time regular employees and employees working alternative work weeks whose work sites close on a designated holiday will be allowed to use accrued but unused time off (vacation or compensatory time) or take leave without pay, or by mutual agreement with the Supervisor, the employee shall be allowed to work to make up the hours. Leave without pay will be authorized if the employee does not request a different option in advance. In no event will the rescheduling of hours in this manner be allowed if the resulting hours of work will result in overtime pay. When a holiday falls on an employee’s regularly scheduled day off, the employee will have the option of receiving the holiday pay at the straight-time rate in the same pay period, or of scheduling an alternate paid day off within thirty (30) days after the actual holiday. To be eligible for an alternate day off, the employee must request it in advance of the holiday.

  • Alternate Work Schedules Workweeks and work shifts of different numbers of hours may be established for overtime-eligible employees by the Employer in order to meet business and customer service needs, as long as the alternate work schedules meet federal and state law. When there is a holiday, employees may be required to switch from their alternate work schedules to regular work schedules.

  • Flexible Work Schedules (a) Academic Professional staff members throughout the University may have, as indicated below, flexible work schedules. For example, Academic Professionals often travel on University business and/or work evenings and weekends. A flexible work schedule is defined as having established working hours different from the standard 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday schedule, to be followed by an employee for an agreed upon period of time.

  • Alternate Schedules Employees working alternate schedules who are normally scheduled to work more than eight (8) hours on a day observed as a holiday may use vacation leave, compensatory time or leave without pay to make up the difference between the employee’s normally scheduled shift and the eight (8) hours of holiday pay.

  • Regular Work Schedules The regular work schedule for overtime-eligible employees will not be more than forty (40) hours in a workweek, with two (2) consecutive calendar days off and starting and ending times as determined by the requirements of the position and the Employer. The Employer may adjust the regular work schedule with prior notice to the employee.
