An Employee on Maternity Sample Clauses

An Employee on Maternity or Parental leave may maintain their benefits by paying the full cost of the premiums (Employee and Employer portion) while on leave. An Employee who wishes to maintain benefits under this article shall make arrangements with the Employer for the full cost of the premiums prior to commencing Maternity or Parental leave.
An Employee on Maternity and Parental Leave shall continue to accrue seniority and shall be guaranteed their same position and rate of pay upon their return to the College.
An Employee on Maternity and Parental Leave shall continue to accrue seniority and shall normally be returned to their same position and rate of pay upon their return to the College. If a position with the same classification is not available, and the Employee accepts a position with a lower classification, the Employee will not suffer any loss of pay or reduction in classification level or step in their new position. The Employee will advance through the steps of their classification level and will be eligible for any future general salary increases negotiated. Further, should such a change occur, the College would provide the Employee with one (1) month’s written notice, with a copy to the Union.
An Employee on Maternity leave shall provide the Employer with four (4) weeks written notice of the date she wishes to return to work, and upon her return to work, she will be placed in her former teaching duties or to a comparable teaching position. 11.1.2.4 a) The Employer will implement an EI Maternity Benefit Top-up Plan which a teacher may access for pay during the health related portion of her leave which will top-up the teacher’s weekly EI benefits such that the sum of the weekly EI benefits and the top-up will equal 100% of the teacher’s normal weekly salary. The EI Maternity Benefit Top-up Plan shall be payable for a maximum period covered by accumulated sick leave.
An Employee on MaternityParental Leave must give Lodge Management at least four (4) weeks written notice of the date on which they wish to resume employment or resign.

  • An Employee (other than a casual Employee) called for jury service during ordinary working hours will be reimbursed by the Employer an amount equal to the difference between the amount paid by the Court and the amount of Ordinary Rate he/she would have received for the ordinary time hours for which the Employee’s attendance at the Court was required up to a maximum of 10 days’ pay.
