Teaching Duties. Career Counsellor/Career Adviser (Teacher) Where the Career Counsellor/Career Adviser (Teacher) is required to undertake teaching duties their teaching load will prioritise the delivery of the career development program (or the components of this program that may be integrated within the broader curriculum). Academic subject area(s) may be included after consultation between the Career Counsellor/Career Adviser (Teacher) and the School Principal.

Teaching Duties. The right to include the Contribution in teaching or training duties at the Contributor’s institution/place of employment including in course packs, e-reserves, presentation at professional conferences, in-house training, or distance learning. The Contribution may not be used in seminars outside of normal teaching obligations (e.g. commercial seminars). Electronic posting of the final published version in connection with teaching/training at the Contributor’s institution/place of employment is permitted subject to the implementation of reasonable access control mechanisms, such as user name and password. Posting the final published version on the open Internet is not permitted.
Teaching Duties. An adjunct professor is expected to perform teaching duties in accordance with the requirements of the University and the particular school or college in which the adjunct professor is assigned. Teaching Duties. The Board and the Association acknowledge that a teacher's primary responsibility is in the area of instruction. 1. Responsibility for the collection and transmission of money, by the teachers, shall be kept to a minimum. 2. Teachers may not be required to correct commercially defined standardized tests which they do not create other than those which are a part of the adopted instructional program. However, they will be given the right to volunteer for such tasks. Requests to administer tests shall be made only when directions and/or materials have been provided to prepare the teachers for the responsibilities assigned. Tests results and inventories will be used only to assess the student needs and will not be used to compare teacher performance. The Board and the Association recognize that the ability of pupils to progress and mature academically is a combined result of school, home, economic and social environment and that teachers alone cannot be held accountable for all aspects of the academic progress of the pupil in the classroom. Whenever possible, teachers shall have all standardized testing materials in their possession no later than one (1) week prior to the actual testing date(s). 3. In each building where space is available, as mutually agreed to by the principal and building staff, equipped work rooms, separate from teaching and lounge areas, will be set aside for teacher use. The Assistant Superintendent will make the final decision in cases where agreement is not reached. The school district is obligated for only one telephone-equipped lounge per building. 4. Each building teachers' lounge will be supplied with a direct dial telephone or outside line for teachers' use for local calls only. 5. No bargaining unit member shall be required to provide school health services except in emergency situations.
Teaching Duties. Secondary teachers may be required to instruct students for 1,375 minutes of any normal work week. a. A time equivalent to one-fifth (1/5) of the high school instructional assignment shall be reserved for each teacher’s planning and conferences. The computation of the 275 minutes per day and the planning time equivalent may be based upon minutes per year. Required instructional time for part-time teachers shall be appropriately prorated. b. Following the Middle School Model per the 2000 Mill Levy Override language, middle school teachers shall have two equal planning periods per day, one individual and one team planning. c. It is preferred that elementary school teachers have at least forty-five (45) minutes of uninterrupted time during the normal student contact day for planning and conferences and they will have at least three hundred (300) total minutes for planning per regular five (5) day work week. If a work week includes fewer than five (5) work days, an average of sixty (60) minutes of planning shall be provided daily in such weeks. To allow for flexibility in scheduling, a staff will collaboratively decide when to schedule different subjects, and to increase or decrease the number of minutes of planning time per day as long as there are approximately forty-five (45) hours of planning time per quarter of the instructional year which shall be distributed as collaboratively decided throughout the quarter. Notwithstanding the authority of the principal as the educational/ curriculum leader of the building, the principal shall consider the input of all teachers in their building as schedules are developed consistent with the provisions of this Paragraph. Collaboration for purposes of this Paragraph means shared development of the final schedule and significant consideration given to the recommendations of the teachers. (1) When any other teacher is in charge of an elementary school teacher’s class, the regular teacher may leave the classroom and utilize that time as additional planning time or for other professional purposes such as consultations with parents or personnel providing itinerant or special services. (2) A recess period of at least ten (10) minutes shall be provided to each elementary school K-5 each half day during which a class does not participate in special classes. Teaching Duties. If a Part-time Employee is assigned a course under Clause 17.06, for courses that do not yet appear in the timetable, the Department or Program shall consult with the Part- time Employee about the scheduling of the course. A Part-time Employee may submit a written request to the Employer with respect to changing the scheduling of a course that already appears in the timetable.
