Animal Services. Costs associated with the maintenance and holding of animals; ordinary and routine technical services such as antisera injection, antisera production, bleeding and collection and necropsy. Auto Repair/Parts/Cleaning Services: all items required for the operations, maintenance and repair of transportation vehicles including vehicular equipment components, tires & tubes, engine accessories, etc. Carpet/Drapery/Furniture/Blind Cleaning and Repair/Carpet Installation: Includes cleaning and repair of carpets, furniture, window treatments/draperies & drapery, Venetian & vertical Blinds, and window shades. Also includes carpet installation. Consulting/Training Services: Includes assistance and technical support to improve management programs and procedures. Excludes IT Consulting/Training services. Copier Repair/Maintenance: Repairs to Government-owned photocopier equipment. Services, parts and excess copy charges related to the maintenance of Government- owned photocopying machines.
Animal Services. Employees in the classification of Veterinarian, Code 2365, who are required by their appointing authority to wear a uniform, shall receive a uniform allowance each pay period as specified below. Work uniforms will be purchased, replaced, maintained and cleaned by each employee. Effective March 24, 2024, the following Uniform Allowance Amounts shall be implemented. 2365-1 Veterinarian I $35.00 2365-2 Veterinarian II $35.00 2365-3 Veterinarian III $35.00 The Uniform Allowance Amounts as stated below shall expire on March 23, 2024, and are replaced with the amounts above. 2365-1 Veterinarian I $25.00 2365-2 Veterinarian II $25.00 2365-3 Veterinarian III $25.00
Animal Services. If a probationary employee is absent from work for any reason during their six (6) month probationary period, or if the employee is unable to perform their full regular duties, the probationary employee’s probation will be extended by a period equal to the number of absent days and/or the number of days when the employee did not perform their full regular duties. Seniority will, upon completion of the probationary period, date back to the first date of the probationary period.
Animal Services. Lead Animal Control Officers and, Animal Control Officers, Caretakers, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Assistants, Animal Service Assistants, and Veterinary Technicians – Employees in these classifications shall bid for shift/days off by classification, on the basis of seniority within the classification. The department shall establish the shift/days off for the bid, and bidding shall occur every six (6) months. The schedule shall be posted not less than fifteen (15) days prior to its effective date. The Department may, for reasonable and articulable operational needs, reassign employees who hold shift bids. (Revised 7-01-13) If a shift bid results in an employee being scheduled to work two consecutive shifts, employee shall work one-half of the required shift and shall be paid administrative leave for the remaining one-half shift. Animal Services. The County is willing and the City desires for the County to provide specified animal services within the City as follows:
(a) Starting on January 1, 2023, and continuing until the end of the term of this Agreement on December 31, 2032, County shall provide animal services within the City as described herein.
(b) This Section 3 and the animal control services to be provided by the County under this Agreement, as described herein, shall only apply and are limited to animal services related to dogs and cats that are located within the City.
(c) During the term of this Agreement and to the extent possible and permissible under applicable laws and ordinances, the County shall use reasonable efforts to:
(i) provide services for the pick-up, housing, adoption, and disposal of dogs and cats located in the City as set forth in the City animal services ordinance;
(ii) provide an annual report, to the City identifying the number of citations issued, calls received, and cases addressed located inside the City Limits no later than forty-five (45) after the end of the fiscal year;
(iii) provide services for the care of injured dogs and cats located in the City as set forth in the City animal services ordinance;
(iv) enforce throughout the City and on the City’s behalf the provisions of the City of Brunswick Animal Services Ordinance, as amended from time to time, excluding specifically, however, any noise and/or barking related ordinance(s);
(v) provide the animal services described herein at a level and in a manner that is the same as comparable animal services provided by the County in unincorporated Glynn County; and
(vi) have response times for the animal services described herein be the same as response times of the County for comparable animal services in unincorporated Glynn County.
(d) The animal services described herein shall be provided by the County as needed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding County holidays, and any applicable furlough days that may be instituted by County; provided however, the County shall retain exclusive control over the hours and manner of operation of the Glynn County Animal Services Facility, which shall maintain hours open to the public and be generally operated as deemed appropriate by County. Animal Services. For the consideration set forth herein, SMAS shall provide the Animal Services as follows. The Animal Services shall be provided by SMAS in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws, policies and ordinances.
a. SMAS shall provide stray animal pick-up, housing and record keeping.
b. SMAS shall house animals involved in legal proceedings (e.g. bite cases) for a predetermined fee.
c. SMAS shall respond to animal nuisance, bite, animal cruelty, and animal abuse cases.
d. SMAS shall actively work to reduce the number of potential stray animals in compliance with then current regulations by (i) ensuring that all animals adopted from the shelter are spayed and neutered, (ii) developing education programs within the schools of the County to help the next generation of animal owners to understand the impact of spaying and neutering, and (iii) participating in feral cat colony management.
e. SMAS shall provide adoption services for stray or homeless animals.
f. SMAS may engage in community support by taking animals to senior centers and schools throughout the City and the County to interact with residents and students.
