Automobile Mileage. Unit members who are required to travel in service for the District shall be reimbursed for the use of their automobile at the same rate as the Internal Revenue Service allowance rate. Future changes in this rate shall become effective on the same day they become effective for the Internal Revenue Service. Mileage shall be computed from the unit member’s assigned location.

Automobile Mileage. Employees who use their own automobiles for transportation between jobs shall receive reimbursement per mile for the use of their automobiles while in the performance of duties for the Employer, provided it is recorded by the employee on his or her time card. A separate check or a separate statement showing the amount paid for mileage will be issued at payroll periods by the Employer. Mileage is that mileage between the first and last job and not mileage from home to the first job or from the last job home. Adjustments to the rate shall be in accordance with IRS guidelines.

Automobile Mileage. An employee who is required to travel between sites during their working hours on official business of the Employer, shall be compensated at their regular rate for that time in such travel, reimbursed for use of the employee’s personal vehicle at the same rate per mile as established by the IRS and reimbursed for Ferry fares and parking fees incurred as a result of such travel. An accurate log of all mileage and specific time traveled shall be kept by the individual employee, to be submitted monthly to the employee’s supervisor. Falsification of mileage or time records may subject the employee to discipline and possible discharge.
