Averaging of Hours – All Leaves a) Employees returning from sick leave (short and/or long term disability), workers’ compensation, leave of absence, layoff, or vacation, all in excess of two weeks, will be given an average of the total accumulated hours per person within their classification on their respective shift. If an employee is absent (for two (2) weeks or less) for any reason and their name comes up for overtime they will be charged as if refused. Any employee who is absent on the day the overtime posting is taken down may inform the supervisor or Human Resources of their availability to work upon their return to work. Such employee will only be entitled to the overtime if it will not displace a seniority employee. An employee reassigned to another shift shall be issued the average hours within their classification for that shift.
