Benefits While on Lay-Off. In the event an employee is laid off he/she shall continue to receive the benefits in Article 20 (Employee Benefits) for the month in which he/she is laid off and for the following month. The employee may, at his/her own expense, elect to continue these benefits for a further six (6) months provided that the premiums are paid in advance, or by post-dated cheques, to maintain coverage and provided that this benefit can be provided by the carrier.

Benefits While on Lay-Off. The following clause is applicable to full-time employees only. In the event of a lay off of an employee, the Employer shall pay its share of the insured benefit premiums up the end of the month in which the lay-off occurs. The employee may, if possible, under the terms and conditions of the insurance benefit programs, continue to pay the full premium cost of a benefit or benefits for up to three (3) months following the end of the month in which the lay off occurs.   • Benefits While on Leave An employee will continue to receive her/his salary and benefits while on paid leave under this Article. An employee on unpaid leave may arrange to pay the costs required to maintain benefit coverage in accordance with the local provisions of the collective agreement.

  • Leave of Absence for Employees Who Serve as Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association An employee who serves as Local Coordinator for the Ontario Nurses' Association shall be granted leave of absence without pay up to a total of thirty-five (35) days annually. Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.
