Business Appointment Rules. The secondee will be subject to the Business Appointment Rules (attached as Annex G to the APA’s Conflicts of Interest Policy). This means that the secondee may in some circumstances be required to seek the agreement of HMT or the Advisory Committee on Business Appointments before accepting any new post, and may also be required to report any approaches by outside employers offering employment for which approval may be required.
Business Appointment Rules. Within two years of leaving Crown employment, and in the circumstances set out in the following paragraph, civil servants must obtain Government approval before taking any form of full, part-time or fee-paid employment: in the United Kingdom; or overseas in a public or private company or in the service of a foreign government or its agencies. Applications for approval must be made by civil servants: • if they are in the Senior Civil Service in salary band 4 or above or in a post attracting a minimum JESP score of 13; or if they are specialists or Special Advisers of equivalent standing; or • if they have had any official dealings with their prospective employer during the last two years of Crown employment; or if they have had official dealings of a continued or repeated nature with their prospective employer at any time during their period of Crown employment; or • if they have had access to commercially sensitive information of competitors of their prospective employer in the course of their official duties; or • if their official duties during the last two years of Crown employment have involved advice or decisions benefiting their prospective employer, for which the offer of employment could be interpreted as reward, or have involved developing policy, knowledge of which might be of benefit to the prospective employer; or • if they are to be employed on a consultancy basis (either for a firm of consultants or as an independent or self employed consultant ) and they have had any dealings of a commercial nature with outside bodies or organisations in their last two years of Crown employment. The rules do not apply to: • unpaid appointments in non-commercial organisations; or • appointments in the gift of Ministers; or In the case of part-time staff, appointments held with the Treasury's agreement whilst they were civil servants. Approval is required for: • the initial appointment; and • any further appointment within two years of leaving Crown employment. Staff on secondment from the Civil Service to other organisations are subject to the rules in the same way as other civil servants. Staff on secondment to the Civil Service from other organisations are also subject to the rules in the same way as civil servants unless they return to their seconding organisation at the end of their secondment and remain there for two years. Special Advisers are subject to the rules in the same way as other civil servants unless they are offered a post by the same employe...
Business Appointment Rules. 15.1. If the Secondee does not return to the Employer at the end of the secondment, but wishes to take up employment with another organisation, the Secondee is expected to inform the ICO of their new position before entering into any written commitment with a new organisation. The ICO reserves the right to impose restrictions as set out in the Business Appointment Rules which will be provided to the Secondee.

  • Appointment of Key Sub-Contractors The Supplier shall ensure that all Sub-Contracts contain a provision: requiring the Supplier to pay any undisputed sums which are due from it to the Sub-Contractor within a specified period not exceeding thirty (30) days from the receipt of a valid invoice; requiring that any invoices submitted by a Sub-Contractor shall be considered and verified by the Supplier in a timely fashion and that undue delay in doing so shall not be sufficient justification for failing to regard an invoice as valid and undisputed; requiring the Sub-Contractor to include in any Sub-Contract which it in turn awards suitable provisions to impose, as between the parties to that Sub-Contract, requirements to the same effect as those required by sub-clauses 5.17.1 and 5.17.2 directly above; and conferring a right to the Customer to publish the Supplier’s compliance with its obligation to pay undisputed invoices within the specified payment period. The Supplier shall pay any undisputed sums which are due from it to a Sub-Contractor within thirty (30) days from the receipt of a valid invoice. Any invoices submitted by a Sub-Contractor to the Supplier shall be considered and verified by the Supplier in a timely fashion. Undue delay in doing so shall not be sufficient justification for the Supplier failing to regard an invoice as valid and undisputed. Notwithstanding any provision of Clauses 9.2 (Confidentiality) and 13 (Publicity, Media and Official Enquiries) if the Supplier notifies the Customer that the Supplier has failed to pay an undisputed Sub-Contractor’s invoice within thirty (30) days of receipt, or the Customer otherwise discovers the same, the Customer shall be entitled to publish the details of the late or non-payment (including on Government websites and in the press).

  • Adjunct Appointments The use of adjuncts at a university shall, upon the request of the UFF Chapter representatives, be a subject of consultation under the provisions of Article 2.1, Consultation.

  • SUSPENSION OF SUPPLIER'S APPOINTMENT 27.1 Without prejudice to the Authority's rights to terminate this Framework Agreement as set out in Clause 26 (Termination), or if the Authority reasonably believes that a Consistent Failure has occurred, the Authority may suspend the Supplier's appointment to provide Services to Contracting Bodies under this Framework Agreement by giving notice in writing to the Supplier which notice shall take immediate effect from the date specified in such notice and the Supplier agrees that it shall not be entitled to enter into any new Order during such suspension period.
