Charging of Leave. All or any portion of a leave taken by a pregnant faculty member because of, connected with, or resulting from said pregnancy may be charged to available vacation leave or sick leave in accordance with Articles 9 and 10.

Charging of Leave. All categories of leave (annual, sick, compensatory, and leave without pay) may be charged in 15 minute increments.

Charging of Leave. An employee who is not at work on a scheduled work day under the 9/80 Work Schedule, must charge 9 hours of eligible leave per work day (or 8 hours for a Friday or a Monday, depending on 9/80 Work Schedule assigned). For charging of leave on a scheduled holiday, an employee must use 8 hours of earned holiday leave, and for a 9 hour day, charge an additional 1 hour from earned vacation.   • Taking of Leave (a) Annual leave shall be given and shall be taken within a period of six months after the date when the right to annual leave accrued; provided that the giving and taking of such leave may be postponed by mutual agreement between the parties for a further period not exceeding six months.

  • Length of Leave Birth Mother A pregnant employee shall be entitled to up to seventeen (17) consecutive weeks of maternity leave and up to thirty-five (35) consecutive weeks of parental leave, all without pay. The parental leave must immediately follow the maternity leave.   • Unused Personal Leave Since a number for the available personal leave days has been established, a basic discussion will need to be had regarding unused personal leave days. Naturally, these differ from vacation days since the Employer will not always be required to pay the Employee when personal leave is taken. If a dollar amount will be attached to each personal leave day that is unused so that it can be paid to that Employee then, select the first checkbox presented in the list of options provided and record the dollar amount that shall be paid for one unused personal day.   • Jury Leave Upon written request, supported by a copy of the summons, an employee shall be granted leave paid at the rate of her full salary, less what the court pays for the performance of the required duties, to appear for or serve jury duty, provided that such appearance and/or service actually conflicts with her scheduled duties and provided that upon return to work she shall provide her supervisor with written confirmation of the date(s) and time(s) on which she appeared and/or served, signed by an appropriate official of the Court.

  • Notice of Leave In any case in which the necessity for FMLA leave is based upon an expected birth or placement for adoption, or planned medical treatment for a serious health condition of the employee, family member, or member of the employee’s household, the employee will provide the Superintendent with at least sixty (60) calendar days advance written notice of the date the leave is to begin. When the need for FMLA leave is due to unforeseen circumstances and advance notice is not practicable, the employee will provide notice of the need for such leave as soon as practicable.

  • Period of Leave (a) The period of leave will be for 12 months, from 1 January to 31 December.
