Christmas Shutdown Arrangements. Subject to the Company’s determination that its operational requirements can be met, a Christmas shutdown will be implemented each year. The Christmas shutdown refers to the normal working days between the afternoon of Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day after the paid holidays as per Article 15, Company Holidays, have been taken into account. Employees may use available banked time, personal business days or vacation pay to cover the Christmas Shutdown. In the event that an employee does not have the requisite days accrued to cover the Christmas Shutdown, individual make-up time arrangements shall be agreed upon by the employees and Managers involved.

Christmas Shutdown Arrangements. The Parties agree, should work requirements permit, to make modificationsto applicable provisions of the Agreement in order to permit employees to work in advance and without overtime premiums, time equivalent to and instead of the normal working days between the afternoon of Christmas Eve and new Year's Day. Alternatively, employees may use vacation or banked time credits in respect of make-up time. Approval of individual make-up time arrangements is subject to work requirements. The conditions for a Christmas shutdown arrangement will be determined by management in consultationwith the Union.
