CIPA Compliance. The Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) was signed into law on December 21, 2000. School authorities must certify that they are enforcing a policy of Internet safety that includes measures to block or filter Internet access for both minors and adults to certain visual depictions. Xxxxxx Preparatory School uses the filtering to block all inappropriate sites from being viewed on the network at Xxxxxx Preparatory School and complies with CIPA. CIPA Compliance. In compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and as outlined in the district’s technology plan, Irwin County is currently using software and hardware for filtering/blocking measures to ensure the safety and protection of the users.
CIPA Compliance. The Xxxxxx County Schools uses Untangle as a firewall and content filter. Xxxxxx County Schools currently has a Technology Acceptable Use and Internet Safety Agreement which is reviewed annually and updated as situations apply. The current policy remains in effect until ECBOE approval of any amended policy during a school term or until the annual policy review. An updated Technology Acceptable Use and Internet Safety Agreement will be provided for parents and students in the appropriate Student Handbook and on the district and school websites. Any corrections or additions after the Xxxxxx County School District Board approval will be provided for parents in the Xxxxxx Echo newspaper and on district and school websites.
