Classified Employee Disciplinary Hearing Procedure. The procedure set forth below will govern the conduct of the hearing which will be granted at the request of a permanent classified employee who has received a Notice of Proposed Disciplinary Action as set forth in 29.2.1 or written notice of discipline as set forth in 29.3.1 above. Where this procedure is silent, or good cause is shown, the person(s) conducting the hearing may apply other rules of adjudication. The hearing shall be before the Governing Board or, at the Board's discretion, before a Hearing Officer.

  • Pre-Disciplinary Hearing ‌ When the COUNTY intends to take disciplinary action involving discharge or suspension, the COUNTY shall notify the non-probationary employee and the UNION in writing of the charges against the employee and the proposed disciplinary action and shall provide the employee with the opportunity to respond to the charges at a hearing with the supervisor or person having authority to impose the proposed disciplinary action.
