College Assisted Individual Effort. When the College provides support of an individual effort resulting in copyrightable materials or patents by contributing Faculty time, facilities and/or other College resources, the College is entitled to certain rights and privileges as listed below. i. The College shall be granted a royalty-free license to make full use of all products and processes so developed pursuant to this section. ii. The College shall recover all costs, supported by detailed records on time and materials. iii. Generally, copyrights and patents shall be held in the name of the College Faculty member concerned, but agreements between the Faculty member and the College may create other rights and responsibilities, including joint ownership.

College Assisted Individual Effort. Income derived from individual efforts which are complemented by College employees and faculties or resources shall be distributed in accordance with a written agreement between the employee and the College. In the absence of a written agreement, the income shall be distributed thirty percent (30%) to the College and seventy percent (70%) to the author/creator/inventor. The author/creator/inventor shall be responsible for notifying the Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer/College Xxxxxxx of engagement in any copyrightable effort and executing a written agreement of joint ownership with the College before beginning any effort which results in the production of royalties. Failure to execute a written agreement with the College shall not deprive the College of its rights to thirty percent (30%) of the royalties generated from all copyrightable intellectual property or patents. The College shall be responsible for 30% of the associated costs and the author/creator/inventor responsible for the remaining 70% of associated costs. The College will register the copyright or patent.
College Assisted Individual Effort. When the College provides partial support of an individual effort resulting in copyrightable intellectual property or a patent by contributing employee time, facilities, or other College resources, the College is entitled to share in the rights to ownership and disposition of these materials or patent and a sharing of royalty income. Partial support exists when the College employee could not have developed the material or patent in the absence of employment at the College. A written agreement of joint ownership shall be required and College personnel engaged in such efforts shall be responsible for contacting the Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer/College Xxxxxxx for guidance regarding the development and execution of the agreement before undertaking the College-assisted activities. Absent a separate written agreement, it shall be presumed that the College is entitled to all rights applicable to the copyrights and/or patents, except as otherwise provided in this Rule.

Ownership of intellectual property developed as a result of specific assignment by the College or arising out of duties for which the individual was specifically employed by the College, shall reside exclusively with the College. Under special circumstances, the College may share royalty income with the author or inventor upon recommendation by the College and approval by the Board of Trustees.

  • PAY ADMINISTRATION 49.01 An employee is entitled to be paid for services rendered at the pay specified in Appendix “A” for the classification of the position to which the employee is appointed. 49.02 No payment or notification shall be made for one ($1.00) or less. 49.03 A service pay increase of two point two five percent (2.25%) will be paid to an employee once every year on the anniversary date of hiring or promotion. This increase is based on the employee’s performance appraisal. No increase within the pay range will be given for an appraisal that is less than satisfactory. In the absence of an appraisal, performance shall be deemed satisfactory. 49.04 When an employee is required by the Employer to substantially perform the duties of a higher classification level in an acting capacity and performs those duties for at least fifteen (15) days, he shall be paid action pay calculated from the date on which he commenced to act as if he had been appointed to that higher classification level for the period in which he acts. 49.05 A reclassification is a change in the level of a position resulting from a review or audit. 49.06 If a position is reclassified to a level having a higher attainable maximum rate of pay, the rate of pay shall be determined by applying the promotion or transfer rules unless specified otherwise in the collective agreement or pay plan. 49.07 If a position is reclassified to a level having a lower attainable maximum rate of pay, the employee shall retain the rates of pay of the former level until the maximum of the new level reaches the salary being paid to the employee. Meanwhile, the economic increase mentioned in Appendix “A” will be paid to the employee in a lump-sum. 49.08 When an employee occupies a position, identified by the Gallery as bilingual, and the employee meets the language requirements, as confirmed by a second language examination, he/she shall receive a bilingual bonus of $800.00 per annum. In order to be eligible for the bonus, the employee must have received a salary for at least ten days in the month. The Bilingual Bonus paid to part-time employees shall be pro-rated. 49.09 Where the rates of pay set forth in Appendix “A” of this Agreement have an effective date prior to the date of the singing of this Agreement, the retroactive period shall apply to employees, former employees or in the case of death, the estate of former employees who were members of the bargaining unit identified in Article 2 of this Agreement during the retroactive period. 49.10 In order for former employees or, in the case of death, for the estate of the former employee to receive payment in accordance with the above, the Employer shall notify, by registered mail, such individuals at their last known address that they have thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the registered letter to request in writing such payment, after which time any obligation upon the Employer to provide payment ceases.

  • Dependent Care Assistance Program The County offers the option of enrolling in a Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) designed to qualify for tax savings under Section 129 of the Internal Revenue Code, but such savings are not guaranteed. The program allows employees to set aside up to five thousand dollars ($5,000) of annual salary (before taxes) per calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care (child and elder care) expenses. Any unused balance is forfeited and cannot be recovered by the employee.

  • Submitting Loop Makeup Service Inquiries 2.6.2.1 Comcast Phone may obtain LMU information by submitting a mechanized LMU query or a Manual LMUSI. Mechanized LMUs should be submitted through BellSouth's OSS interfaces.
