College Meetings. 7.11.1 Employees appointed to College related committees by either the College or the Union are entitled to attend all meetings without loss of pay. 7.11.2 Employees must ensure that their Supervisors verbally approve this leave in advance, which will not be unreasonably withheld.

College Meetings a. The College President, or Vice President for Academic Affairs, may hold a faculty meeting each semester of the academic year at which all faculty members shall be present. The date of the meeting shall be announced at least ten (10) days in advance of the meeting. Agenda items for such meeting must be submitted to the College President no later than five (5) duty days before the announced meeting date. The agenda shall be published and made available three (3) duty days prior to the meeting and shall be strictly adhered to. b. When other faculty meetings are scheduled (excluding Saturdays) (i.e. those convened by the administration): (1) Dates and times and the tentative agenda shall be announced at least five (5) duty days in advance, if feasible. (2) Agenda items submitted to the Xxxx'x office no later than three (3) days prior to the faculty meeting shall appear on the final written agenda which will be distributed by the Xxxx two (2) days prior to the meeting date. c. Open discussion shall be a standing agenda item. d. Employee-management relations shall be a standing agenda item for faculty meetings at which all faculty members may be present. The College and the Local shall jointly plan presentations of agenda items. e. Prior notice requirement shall not interfere with the scheduled Convocation for faculty at the beginning of each academic year. f. Meetings or College Assemblies, shall be considered a part of the duty day.
College Meetings. The Union Local may appoint a Committee at each College composed of up to three (3) members from among employees who have completed the probationary period. Where a College has another Campus more than thirty-two (32) away from the College’s main establishment, with at least twenty (20) employees covered by this Agreement employed thereat, the Union Local may appoint a Campus Committee of up to three (3) members,two (2) of whom shall be from employees on that Campus who have completed the prob- ationary period. A committee of three (3) members appointed by the College or Campus officials will meet with the Union College or Campus Committee at a mutually agreed time and place provided that either party requests and gives at leastseven (7) days prior notice accompa- xxxx by an agenda of matters proposed to be discussed. It is agreed that matters to be the subject of discussion at meetings include: local application of this Memorandum of Agreement; clarificationof procedures or conditions causing misunder- standing or grievances; local initiatives to enhance employment equity including matters relating to child care; an internal complaint process to facilitate the resolution of employee complaintsthat do not fall within the provisionsof Articles or Article other matters which are mutually agreed upon;

  • TAC Meetings The goal of this subtask is for the TAC to provide strategic guidance for the project by participating in regular meetings, which may be held via teleconference. • Discuss the TAC meeting schedule with the CAM at the Kick-off meeting. Determine the number and location of meetings (in-person and via teleconference) in consultation with the CAM. • Prepare a TAC Meeting Schedule that will be presented to the TAC members during recruiting.   • Joint Meetings 10.1(a) Should either party desire to discuss with the other any matter affecting generally the relationship of the parties, a meeting of Union and management representatives shall be arranged upon request of either party. Such meeting shall take place at a time mutually convenient to both parties. Any use of Company time for attendance at such meetings shall be arranged in advance by mutual agreement. 10.1(b) This Article is intended to provide a free avenue of communication between the Union and the Company, and suggestions, complaints, or other matters may be presented by either party, provided that neither party shall be required to discuss any item brought up by the other party nor be bound to act upon any item presented. However, both parties agree to discuss informal grievances and complaints.

  • Open Meetings (a) All scheduled meetings of the Employer shall be open meetings, except in those cases where personnel, financial or other matters require that the meeting be considered confidential. (b) In those cases where a meeting is designated confidential, the Union shall be provided with a reason for such designation. (c) A designated member of the Union shall be provided a copy of the agenda and minutes of all open meetings. (d) Notwithstanding 18.04(b), any faculty member may request that an Union representative attend as an observer at meetings where the faculty member reasonably believes their working conditions under Article 12 will be affected. Management will be notified by the Union in advance of the meeting regarding their attendance at the meeting.

  • Faculty Meetings Principals shall have the authority to schedule necessary faculty meetings; however, such meetings shall be as brief and well planned as possible. Such meetings shall be used for purposes that cannot be accomplished effectively through other means. Faculty meetings shall be scheduled in a manner that impacts teacher planning time to the least degree possible. If more than one faculty meeting is held in a month, the purpose of the meeting shall be announced to the faculty in advance.

  • Telephone Meetings Members of a committee of the Board of Directors may participate in a meeting by means of a conference telephone or other communications equipment if all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other at the same time. Participation in a meeting by these means shall constitute presence in person at the meeting.

  • Management meetings 31.1 Either the Engineer or the Contractor may require the other to attend a management meeting. The business of a management meeting shall be to review the plans for remaining work and to deal with matters raised in accordance with the early warning procedure. 31.2 The Engineer shall record the business of management meetings and is to provide copies of his record to those attending the meeting and to the Employer. The responsibility of the parties for actions to be taken is to be decided by the Engineer either at the management meeting or after the management meeting and stated in writing to all who attended the meeting.

  • Required Meetings or Hearings Whenever any employee is required to appear before the Superintendent or his designee, Board or any committee, member, representative or agent thereof concerning any matter which could adversely affect the continuation of that employee in his office, position, or employment or the salary of any increments pertaining thereto, then he shall be given prior written notice of the reasons for such meetings or interview and shall be entitled to have a representative of the Association present to advise him and represent him during such meetings or interview.

  • Membership Meetings At the request of the Union the University agrees to grant a two (2) hour period twice a calendar year for purposes of a regular membership meeting. The University agrees to grant time off from work without loss of pay to those Employees regularly scheduled to work during that time.

  • Professional Meetings Employees should be encouraged to and may, with the approval of the supervisor, attend professional meetings, conferences, and activities. Subject to the availability of funds, the employee's expenses in connection with such meetings, conferences, or activities shall be reimbursed in accordance with the applicable provisions of State law and university rules.

  • Committee Meetings ‌ All meetings of the said Committee on Labour Relations with the Union Committee and the Secretary- Business Manager, or her/his representative, shall be under the chairpersonship of a member of the Committee on Labour Relations. Meetings shall be held at the call of the Chairperson as promptly as possible on request in writing of either party. The Employer and the Union shall make every effort to exchange written agendas at least one (1) week prior to meetings called under Article 8.04.
