Combination of Leaves. A teacher may take sick leave followed by an unpaid leave of absence (non-disability) as long as the latter leave is taken in accordance with Section 3a. and 3b. below.

Combination of Leaves. If an employee’s position is being held while the employee is on one type of Article XXI leave and her/his circumstances change, she/he may request another type of Article XXI leave. If the employee’s position is not being held, she/he may not request another type of leave. In no event will any combination of personal leaves and illness or disability leaves extend beyond two (2) years.

  • Duration of Leave An eligible female employee may apply for pregnancy leave, to commence after the 22nd week of pregnancy for a duration of up to 17 weeks.
