Other Leaves definition

Other Leaves. For leaves under this article that do not qualify per the FMLA, the employee shall pay the full insurance premium (School District and employee contributions) for any month in which the employee does not work at least one (1) day.
Other Leaves shall include, but not be limited to, care for a member of the immediate family who is ill, long-term illness of the unit member, service in an elected public office, professional study or research, government-sponsored foreign service, health, temporary relocation of family, seeking alternative career, and family hardship.

Examples of Other Leaves in a sentence

  • Appointees in this series are not eligible for sabbatical leave, but are eligible for leave with pay in accordance with PPM 230-10, Section II L, Other Leaves with Pay.

More Definitions of Other Leaves

Other Leaves. Employees in locations where the Program is not available may apply for an Unpaid Leave of Absence.
Other Leaves. For jury duty and bereavement, a substitute will be employed. All other leaves will follow the normal contract. Absences due to bereavement must be consecutive. Extra Duties: Both parties agree to perform extra duties as necessary to fulfill those professional responsibilities outlined in the IEP planning and review section.
Other Leaves. The Hospital will provide other leaves of absence required by applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The Hospital will also comply with all applicable laws concerning return to work and reinstatement of such employees. When the employee returns to duty the employee shall be reinstated in the same shift, category and department in which the employee was employed. If conditions have so changed that this would be unreasonable, the Hospital will reinstate the employee in a comparable position, unless otherwise required by law. The employee will be given first consideration for the employee’s former position when a vacancy occurs. The parties agree that if the employee’s position has been eliminated for reasons unrelated to family medical leave, the foregoing shall not apply and the employee may be laid off in accordance with Article 19 of this Agreement, unless otherwise required by law. Insurance: An employee placed on an authorized leave must pay the required premium necessary to continue group health coverage during the period of leave, unless otherwise required by federal or state law.

  • Medical leave means leave from work taken by a covered individual that is made neces-
