Common use of Compensation for Work on Holidays Clause in Contracts

Compensation for Work on Holidays. 1. An employee who is required to work on Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Xxxx, Xx.'s Birthday, Xxxxxxx's Birthday, or Washington's Birthday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive his or her regular pay for each hour worked. 2. An employee who is required to work on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, or Thanksgiving Day shall receive pay computed at one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee's basic hourly rate for the number of hours actually worked, to a maximum of eight (8) hours. 3. An employee who is required to work on a holiday and who meets the eligibility requirements contained herein shall receive in addition to pay as provided in D.1. or 2. of this Section compensatory time for each hour worked to a maximum of eight (8) hours.
